British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  1. So the UK wasn't even in the top 10 countries that gain from the UK's membership of the EU?

  2. Th title is,"Who earned most FROM the UK last year".
Of course we sold them some stuff, but sales totals are not,"profit",which is the only thing that matters.
Also, not sure that giving the EU over £15 billion pounds in membership,(2018 figures), fees can be called a gain.

  3. Ah, I see. Still interesting. We must be buying a lot of tulips.

  4. Interesting that you singled out The Sturgeonator! She was far from uppermost in my mind when I posted. True story.

And I did not miss the "nothing to do with policies" bit, I just gave it its due consideration.

  5. Bit off topic but

Ukraine election: President Zelensky's party heads for win https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-49061504

‘Speaking in Kiev after the polls closed, President Zelensky said he was inviting a party led by rock star Svyatoslav Vakarchuk to hold talks on forming a coalition.‘

Looks like if he gets his way there won’t be any politicians left in their government

  15. Some time ago, I mentioned a european border force.

It was initially slipped in at 1,500 ebf officers under the guise of helping the migrant crisis and were to assist the independent nation state's own border guards and under the control of that country.

Then late last year I popped in an eu's directive from their eu own website where they discussed it and it had gone to motion where it stated what the eu wanted

    (1) increase the 1,500 assist to now become a 10,000 european border force
    (2) the previous control by the independent country nation of the european border force be scrapped, and now all european border force will not be controlled by the countries they operate in but, will now come under the control of the eu commission and the commission only

This from the eu's own website http://www.europarl.europa.eu/news/...u-border-guards-to-reinforce-external-borders

  17. You simply could not make it up.

Less than 24 hrs before the most pro-Brexit PM ever is named, Trump refuses to come the UK's aid in protecting UK ships off Iran. Necessitating Foreign Secretary Hunt to beg the European powers we seek to leave, to help out!

The EU must be pissing themselves.
