British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. so the dodgy figures calculator only works when the snp use it? how cool is that. Scotlands 5.3 million never voted to remain, just 1.6 milion did, your secrets safe with me Mary :upyeah:

  2. Whilst the Representatives are required to exercise their judgement rather than just following the voters opinions, as Edmund Burke MP found out, the voters may not be too keen to reappoint you as their representative if you do go against their wishes. I understand that the voters of Bristol disposed of him at the next opportunity?

  3. Lol. Water off duck’s back my Caledonian compadre. You tend to develop a fairly thick skin in my line of work, in which veiled insults from opponents are common, direct ones from clients occasional and on rare occasions, escalate to physical assaults (not against me thankfully, but I know people who’ve been attacked by clients)

  4. Winning, a bit winning :yum

  5. Do you insult people first in your professional life too, then call them out for a 'veiled' insult when they retaliate  you would be wise to read your own words at times  and grow up a lil :kissing:

  6. why are you getting so angry again?

  7. I don't know why he is the Finm - he's got issues, but it's OK, I will just have to go easy on him for a while :):upyeah:

  8. Yawn.

    Pots. Kettles. Sticks. Stones

Why not stop deflecting and actually address the question I posed to you (again)?

  9. Exactly, I see you took my advice - thanks for reporting back :)

  10. We lost the Referendum but the last time I looked we still hadn’t left the EU, and as the septics are so fond of saying, “It ain’t over til the fat lady sings”

Since the Referendum, the “winners” seem to have done an awful lot of losing (6 times in the past two weeks alone), so your recent form doesn’t bode well for future results :yum

  11. Yes, undemocratic twerps aren't they (I'm not and never have been a Tory btw - just anti EU in an un-selfish way) unlike yourself: the worst kind of Remoaner :kissing_heart:

  12. Just out of interest, what do you think my reasons are for remaining? I’m not expecting an answer tbh, but I thought I’d ask, just in case it’s third time lucky (even though it’s Friday the 13th)

I wouldn’t know whether your anti EU sentiments are selfish or not as whenever I’ve asked for an explanation you suddenly fall silent, or you do that Trump-esque rage-texting thing you do from time to time. At least TopBox, Noob (sometimes, when he’s being sensible ;)), Loz, and a few others are able to articulate a coherent, consistent argument based on evidence and statistics, or even just citing the reasoned opinions of others etc, and while I don’t agree with their views, I respect them for putting them out there rather than just hiding behind silliness.

  13. I think God got his periods reversed. About every 4 weeks he starts acting nice. It lasts about a weekend.

Either that or it’s a Friday thing, as there was that lose/loose issue two Fridays ago.

Plus, I think it might be a full moon.

    Or he needs a hug.

Who amongst men can know the mind of Exi?

  14. exe, just because you don't vote doesn't mean you are not a tory. your M-O says tory all over it. its not necessary a bad thing. its not your fault your party has been taken over by fascists.

  18. We discussed this before - you said you had plenty of selfish reasons, I have selfish reasons for remaining in the EU too but choose to be more diplomatic and benevolent to the populace :innocent:
