  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.

  5. Is this fake news too fin?

During brexit and leading upto it, one of the concerns was mass illegal immigration and the abuse of the asylum system. Leavers were called by remainers, racists and xenophobes. Then the 2017 european elections happened and those parties that also said we can't keep doing this on illegal migration, saw massive rises in their support but again it was claimed far right, racists and xenophobes

What if I was to say to you despite the schengen agreement of open borders and no checks, 6 countries of the eu recently have introduced intermediate border checks on their borders, against the schengen agreement, and one of those is Germany?

Among the 26 member states of the Schengen area, border controls had largely been abolished but six countries — Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway and Sweden — started introducing temporary checks as the migrant crisis unfolded.

Germany had until now only ordered checks along its borders with Austria — a measure it extended again just last week until spring 2020.

But on Sunday, Interior Minister Horst Seehofer announced that police would intensify checks along the country's entire 3,700 km border.

Are the Austrian, Danish, French, German, Norwegian and Swedish governments all extreme right racist xenophobes too?

  6. pretty much everything you post on that subject should be ignored. mostly because of your anti english accusations since pretty much day one of you joining this forum and accross all threads including tech.
    .
i got to line two and stopped there.
you shouldnt be here. the up shot, you exposed an arse hole or two.

  7. You're funny, anti english? a european news source, showing 6 of the main countries have been ignoring shengen because of the migrant crisis that when we discussed it were called racists.

perhaps if you went beyond line two you wouldn't be the ignoramus you are?

You have scots gov figures before you, you disagree with them, you have uk gov figures before you and you disagree with them, you have european well respected news sources give information, you disagree with them, you have even eu documents from their own website through the eu and you disagree with them

all of this sums up your ignorance when you describe your well versed information as "I read the first two sentences"

fin, you're looking rather silly chap when even recognised independent sources are shown and some from your own side and still you get your wobbly head on

  8. jeeze, I only got four words in there. more than enough.

  10. If all the MPs had respected the people’s vote in the first place and showed a United Kingdom to Germany the U.K. wouldn’t be in this mess and would probably have a deal that benefited everyone. But NO they chose to put party and themselves first grubbing about for some kind of power and self reward

  12. yip, if they respected the vote and found a compromise.

  13. But you could only have that if the defeatists had, had some back bone and but the good of the U.K. first instead of themselves

  14. Why? All the Leave propaganda talked about us having the whip hand in negotiations and that the EU would basically give whatever we asked for. I even think I remember somebody who clearly should have known better (heaven forfend that I accuse them of lying) said a deal would all be done and dusted within 24 hours. All of which, frankly, was so infantile and ludicrous that they may as well have said that Santa Claus and/or the Tooth Fairy will be delivering it. How did you all fall for what was such a blatant lie?

Why don’t extreme Leavers just admit that the Leave campaign was riddled with lies and that rather than this benefitting Britain, it is going to cripple it, but, you want to leave regardless, purely on ideological grounds. It would be a lot more honest and easier to understand than blaming this mess on everyone but yourselves and/or claiming that the post-Oct 31st world is going to be a land of milk and honey, when it quite clearly a no deal Brexit is going to give the uk a kick in its economic nuts at best, and at worst, may lead to food shortages, widespread job losses, public disorder and a return to the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

Speaking of which, I was in Belfast over the weekend and a lot of people I spoke to were very worried that crashing out without a solution to the border problem may cause existing (and in fact rising) sectarian tensions to boil over into violence. All the murals are still up and in fact new ones are appearing, including one that I saw on a tour of some of the major sites, which was to the effect that the IRA are ready to rearm and will protect catholic communities if need be.

Given that nationalists see a hard border as a breach of the Good Friday Agreement and loyalists see the backstop as a threat to the Union, it’s anybody's guess how that vicious little circle is going to be squared and over here I think we tend to forget that the “war” never ended, that terrorist groups haven’t been disbanded but are merely “on ceasefire”.

  16. Thank you for this. When the extreme remainers try to cite brexit will (1) it will start up the troubles again and (2) a hard border will see the ira ready to re arm It shows the honesty that

(1a) The idiot part never went away and so for extreme remainers to try and say it was all sweetness and light between the good friday agreement and brexit, would be a lie, nor would a clean break be any justification to start troubles again.

(2a) The only hard border will be on the republics side at the insistence of the eu so are people really saying they are going to start shooting on their own side of the border? hardly

We still have the Common Travel Area in Ireland that was started in 1922 so the eu couldn't fuck it about

  17. So you mean, if they respected the vote but didn't respect the vote then?

  18. for the good of the UK? teehee. what does that even mean?
it's cool rob, don't worry about it. you are not alone in thinking, regions of the UK. rather than countries of the UK.

  19. I think you’re missing the point, whether that’s intentional or just a misunderstanding, I can’t say.

You’re right that the idiots never went away, but it’s an extremely naive and unrealistic counsel of perfection to imagine, in even your most optimistic of dreams, that a “clean break”* would amount to a “justification” for reigniting violence. Such people don’t deal in justifications, they deal in excuses and pretexts and the past 20 years of relative peace (the violence continued but at a much reduced level) came about only because tensions were reduced and the communities they purported to represent preferred dialogue over violence. That might change. It’s a powder keg, it won’t take much to set it off again and over there the phrase “dead in a ditch” isn’t just a saying but used to be a very real possibility for a lot of people.

Stop making excuses in advance, take responsibility and “own” what may happen as a result of your vote.

    * Eh? Do you even begin to comprehend how complex leaving without a deal makes things, going forward? Don’t answer - that’s rhetorical, as you clearly have no idea.
