Catalonia, unless there is a bit of back room diplomacy going on that we don't know about, that is a genuine failure of the EU.
This is just a rough lay out of time periods for another referendum based on the first, just structurally. It can vary but not by too much. and politically a party would benefit by telling the 52% they where shafted by the others. I could imagine they would be quite aggressive about it too.

I'm not sure they will be in court if what was required has been done? I believe a letter was sent on behalf of the government but not officially signed by Johnson in regards to an extension request

Should Scotland become a divided nation current schemes such as free university tuition fees and the shambles that is the Scottish parliament would crumble leaving already poor Scottish citizens to foot the bill.

if I were the EU I would take him not signing the first letter as meaning his negotiations of the past few weeks were wholly disingenuous and he wants a no deal Brexit. Macron is insisting on no extension so he may well get it
