British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.

  2. Is the problem not that a group changed Leaving the EU bureaucracy with a strong trade deal - something which the people supported- to something very different.

  5. To be honest I can’t see the point of going over who said what in 2016, it’s doesn’t resolve anything.

I’m more concerned with moving forward.

  6. Though you do see the difference between what has been offerred to the public as opposed to what they were told?

  7. Yes I do.

    there, that’s that solved.

  8. So the next time you buy a car from a salesman, and three years later they turn up with a boat you will be happy? You'll just want to move forward so perhaps ask where the oars are?

  9. That's odd. I saw how the options being offered to the public may or may not be possible, too.

Is it possible that other Leave supporters realised that Politician Talk around Brexit was simply Politician Talk, not guarantees and that Leavers had made their own minds up about Leaving? Or is it just a handful of us at most?

  10. Depends.

What happens with my £1B per month contribution whilst I waiting for a vehicle I am entirely free to purchase, or walk away from, depending on how I feel about it?

  11. Damn, that’s a good point.

I hadn’t thought about how similar the Uk leaving the Eu is compared to buying a car.

  12. I think the suggestion is that politicians were to be believed leading up to the 2016 referendum

  13. Not sure about that.

I am happier with the suggestion that people did not know just how far politicians would actually go in order to deceive the public.

  16. Because you are using a remainer broken record technique, let me show you why you are incorrect

"we didn't know what we were voting for"
We knew after being in the eu for over 40 years, what we did NOT want and knew despite the wishes for change, the eu was not for changing. We had 40 years of experience of the eu to know what we were voting for

"what has been offerred to the public as opposed to what they were told?"
Remainers were told, vote to stay in the eu and change it from within and yet 3 and a half years later, the only change has been to a more centralist federal body, remainers were clearly lied too

"But no one voted for a hard brexit"
No one voted for a brexit in name only either, what we do know is, we voted to leave the organisation that is the eu and become an independent third country, and that was NOT dependent on any deal
