British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. ok, can you reproduce it without the fleks of rage induced spittle. if there was a statement of fact init could you proved a reputable source?
or can I just jump straight to the DQ?

  2. TBF, I didn't read it either - but I didn't need to :yum

  4. One thing I hope, is that when normal parliamentary numbers are normalised with a majority or majority coalition, is that the current propensity for litigation comes to an end.

If every decision a gov't makes is taken to court by some spoilt brat, this country is going to become intollerable in the future.

  5. this is rubbish

I chose to live in England for many reasons which I am quite happy to espouse

I regularly praise England and it’s people

I have friends of all political persuasions whom I love. Many voted Brexit

you on the other hand can’t say one good word about my country or my countrymen.

As an FYI “l love scotland” doesn’t count. That’s like saying “I love disneyland”. You treat it like a play park.

as far as I am concerned your attitude to my country can feck right off. And when it gets there, it can feck off some more

I will never tolerate your shite

  8. What a load of tripe. He crititicizes The SNP, not Scotland or the Scottish. Very big difference.

I like Scotland, I like the Scottish. I dislike the politics and divisivness of The SNP and some of the people that represent the party.

  11. 749 was bang on the money there exe. its not your or others voting habits that are the issue. its the "gloating".... the lack of distancing from the worst elements of the campaign and the insults and predictable defence when the worst are pointed out.
    anyways. have a DQ.

  12. you have no idea do you?

The Court of Session has found in favour of the U.K. government

Scots law is not English law. It’s the United Kingdom of 4 countries and 3 legal systems. Don’t be surprised when they don’t agree.

go and read the Act of Union. In particular the part about taxation being common across all jurisdictions. Clearly, separating NI from the rest of the U.K. is not in line with the Act of Union, which is why it’s being tested in Scotland.

you truly are either an imbecile or the worlds best troll.

  13. you continually fall into the same trap then don’t you?

About half the population of Scotland disagree with you then, because that’s the percentage that the SNP/ Greens pull at election time.

    It’s the same thing!

The FM is the most popular leader in the the U.K. because she reflects the views of the people. Get that into your head and maybe you will understand the point!

she is only saying what people in scotland believe

criticise her and you criticise the majority of what people in Scotland think.

I CANT MAKE THIS ANY CLEARER FOR YOU!!

  14. I took off your ignore, sure enough, just to see the same old shite and hate but lets go there to show how silly you are being

Population of Scotland is around 5.4 million (yorkshire has 5.5 million)

Now forgive me Mary, but half of 5.4 million is 2.7 million. The greens won 5,886 votes and the snp won 977,569 which was a loss from the 2015 g.e. of over 440,000, and more Scots voted for Brexit in 2016 (1,018,322) than for the snp in the 2017 general election(977,569)

Yeah but no. It might be for you and your Diane Abbott abicus but half of the population of Scotland is 2.7 million and NOT 977,569. All of those figures were from the Scots gov should you wish to check :D, happy to help.

Nicola is not the leader of the U.K. I think that is a point that you are confused on and even in Scotland with an electorate of 3,988,490 where the snp gained only 977,569 in the last g.e., she is hardly the voice of Scotland either.

Nope but thank you for rather proving my point once again, 36.9 percent of the Scottish electorate is not the Scottish people, most people with common sense know the snp do not speak for the entire Scottish nation

You made two things very clear, you're shit at maths and you continue your victimhood in demanding no one can criticise the snp because to do so means you criticise all Scots, which thankfully those of a reasonable mind and not seeking division and hatred, realise you are talking bolloxs.

With no order to your somewhat odd and deranged thoughts of hatred and division, I'll put you back on ignore and for quite some time. Carrotts don't grow the right way up in your garden do they

  17. gowd, if only I had known that all of those constant references from day one by you noob, on every thread from tech to this place to scroungers, junkies, drunks, dole dwellers, English haters where just references to SNP voters. silly me. then of course you put all the soft references that where common place before you noob, jockistan, Scottish ect, you know, the kind of references made by people in position and stated way more often than is necessary. in the same threads. not fun threads, these threads.
    .
all this the tory/trump/Farage apologists. not seeking division and hatred. teehee.
all this does is tell me the language you use is normal to you, and normalised by people like you.
the English are total wankers aint they?.
chill folks, always with the hatred, clearly I wasn't talking about anybody on here. fuggin snow flakes.

  18. Why does Scotland have different tax rates ?

  19. special circumstances.
part of the devolution settlement in 1997. all the countries had the option to diverge by 3%. but only on income tax set by the majority in Westminster. which represent england. the bigger change came during smith after the 2014 promise of us having the most powerful devolved gov on the planet.( which of course it isn't by any stretch of the imagination). and why? hmm, the Secretary of State Mundell was quoted as calling it a trap. which should be obvious. give a bit on income tax but none on avoidance.
    .
I dont think its unreasonable to give us the means to mitigate the worst of tory austerity. it was agreed during smith that we should be able to prioritise certain areas of expenditure. the killer blow being, the architect of "the Vow" brittish labour. they blocked us from having any. bar a degree of control over income tax right enough. even the torys offered more.

  20. Isn’t that a change to the act of union
Making the NI tax argument a bit of a damp squib
    Taxation across all countries
