British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. If Boris finds himself about to be sacked, he will likely sack all the Tory MPs immediately prior. He is a little impetuous. And I mean that - no ifs or buts!

  2. And the recent Tory leaders haven't wasted their time in government ? And still the Blond blimp can't get his way. Ha fvckin Ha.

  3. I cannot shake the conviction that Boris's troubles, the Westminster logjam, the whole sorry shitshow ... is mere theatre.
A stalling tactic to bamboozle the Public until they get used to the idea that no one leaves the EU.

  5. A little over half you think? A General Election would put that to the test!

  6. Was there ever a time when over half the country was happy about anything?

  9. You cant make it up can you, Ian Blackford (you know that bloke who every time he stands up in parliament the TV camera’s switch to an advert on Tenna lady incontinence pants)has said that the SNP wont vote for a GE on Monday because “Its just before christmas and in Scotland its dark and cold so voters wont want to leave their houses to travel to polling stations, often in dark villages with no street lighting”. FFS.

  11. Labour and Lib Dem’s saying no election unless a ‘disastrous’ ‘horrific’ ‘blood curdling’ no deal is ruled out first.

If there was then a GE and the Brexit Party won, what would happen. Would they ‘undo’ whatever was put in place to stop no deal, or would that not be possible.

  12. Can we stick with ‘blood curdling’ for referring to no-deal ?

now it’s out there I kinda like it.

  14. Well let's check that faux outrage,

which parties have been calling for a general election almost weekly since the 13th of july 2016 when May was elected and repeated that almost daily since Boris was elected on the 24th of july 2019?

I'll give you a hint, the same parties kept saying "neither were prime ministers of the U.K. because none of them were voted by the British people, we demand a general election NOW"

Why then after 3 years of asking for a general election and now being offered one, have they gone quiet as though someone has offered them a gary glitter concert ticket?

So which parties when offered a general election have suddenly become mute pussies ? :D

  16. Of course they would. The UK’s democratic principles don’t believe you can bind the hands of future Parliaments.
