What about those who have lived in te UK for 70 years, and are lving in Spain for one year. Many will have property in the UK. They have paid taxes for a very longtime and are British, why should their voting rights be removed?
Many perhaps most EU folks are on local council electoral rolls so it wouldn't be a big deal. The sixteen year olds are all part of the NHS with a number so similarly it shouldn't be a major issue for them to register online through the Gov.Uk site?
I know many people that have decided to move, work/retire and live abroad. Some in the EU, some in other parts of the world. All, without exception, decided to leave the UK because a. The country’s “fucked” b. The weathers shit c. Housing is cheaper where they’ve moved to d. They can have a “better standard of living” abroad by releasing equity from the UK home e. Their money/pension goes further abroad and any combination thereof. As they’ve decided the UK is not for them, why should they have a say in the government of the country they’ve left behind to the rest of us? Discuss.
Labour say no deal is now off the table, I thought it was always the default to leave with no deal if an agreement hadn't been made and we have no extension.
I think after living overseas for some years, perhaps these people should lose thier voting rights. I also don't think to many of them will bother to vote after living away for ten years.
We couldn’t leave without the majority vote from parliament. BoJo was never going to get labours support unless “no deal” was off the table. Corbyn has won that little game. He won’t win the the big game.
“Some years”? How many? I would expect that if I decided to leave the country for a “better place” that I lose the right to vote immediately.
No deal is off the table right now, not forever. I think its possible to leave without a deal on expiration of the soon to be signed extension. If a new government has a majority they can certainly make it so.
Which is what BoJo is banking on. And if he gets that then it’ll be the first thing he’s managed to “win” since he became PM

What does leave the country mean. How about they fly in every six months to see family, property or business? Have they left or not?
