British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. looking at brexit its clear to see where and why it was destined to go wrong.
tory internal party politics where most of the party dont beleive in brexit.
a poor opposition not knowing what it wants.
a terible campign with no plan A let alone a plan B.
a totally negative campaign run by globalist owned MSM stirring up hate.
pretty much the opposit of our reff. bar the MSM.

  2. it’s fairly clear why Brexit was never really going to happen I think.

How many people look no further than MSM though ?

I do think a referendum with a close result will cause more problems than it solves.

  3. I'd say the Scots should have the chance to vote for Inde again because of Brexit and their huge vote to Remain in the Brexit ref. If Brexit was not happening I might think differently. I don't think there is a case for Inde refs every few years.

Its not only a case for giving the Scots their right to Independance; its also about those that want to be a part of the UK who should not have to vote again and again.

  4. If the Tories win a majority I expect Brexit will happen quickly. Its likely that the second phase trade deals might "break down" during the first year and No Deal/WTO will then start at the end of 2020. I can already hear Mogg & Blojob screaming that the EU forced them into it.

If the Labour win or lead a coalition there will be a final referendum.

  5. Have to wait and see what happens in the election first, I’m fairly sure if the Tories win there will still be a lot of opposition to Brexit.

If Labour win perhaps Corbyn will fall back to what he’s always believed and leave on the 13th December without a deal o_O

  6. Many if not most Remain Tories have quit and will be replaced with Leave Tories provide the seat is won by the Cons. With Tory majority, switching to "No Deal is now necessary due to the EU being awful" will not be difficult.

That said I don't think they will get a majority.

  7. Don’t give up yet. Tories haven’t won yet.

Polls are not always accurate - didn’t they predict a comfortable win for Remain.

  8. Polls MSM more importantly predicted Corbs (CZECH SPY!) would be smashed by May winning at least 100 seat majority. See how that turned out.

  9. Exactly. There’s hope yet.

  10. Agree, so a 3 way question then?

    Remain in UK
    Leave UK for indi
    Leave UK and join EU

This would be the only sensible referendum I guess

in the last few days where it looked like bitter togeather where going to lose, a pile of last minuit promises where made. many events since could be said to have been a change in curcumstances. nobody bar a few diehards where taking indi2. but brexit is the final straw.
i know its unintentional but its not in anyones gift to alow or give us another vote. it is our right and our deffence against future UK Govs.

  12. Are we saying then once in a generation is every 5 years?

You can see why remainers would pretend to support indi 2. Miss, miss, misssssss, the scots had a vote on a referendum every 5 years so now its remainers turn in 2021.

  13. cool, you voted for a once in a genneration vote. now we can fuck you up for a genneration. eh, naw. i dont think so. and besids, nobody voted in a once in a genneration reff. nowhere did it say once in a genneration.

  14. Except that Scotland can't put "Leave & join EU" on the ballot as its not within their control. The application, currency etc would all have to be assessed and agreed by the EU. If a majority of people voted for this and it didn't happen, would that then mean Scotland would be back within the UK?

In an ideal scenario, the EU would guarantee Scotland the option/ place in the EU if the majority voted for it in the ref. Thats unlikely to happen though as it is in total contravention of their rules.

  15. the mood music from the EU for us joining is there. obviously they are currently dealing with brexit and cant get too involved in domestic issues. bar the currency issue, that cant be attended to untill after the next reff, we are in.
it is the intension of the Scot Gov to apply. but in the mean time it will be EFTA EEA.

  16. The campaigning pre the referendum did make a great deal of promises.

Finm what would you think is a reasonable system re Inde refs?

  17. 1.10 if you want the highlight :D

  18. in the devolved parliments and assemblies? when ever a majority is won with a reff in its manifesto.
the system we have is fine, its the outside influinces that are a concern. as it stands, there are too many that think only the result should be respected not the comitments made to secure a result. thats why you get to another GE vote every 5mins at westminster.

  19. Why not? Surely if indi 2 which the election result will be used to support, why won't the snp clarify this period between leave and join?

  20. who believes PMs? and he resigned. thats the get out clause.
