British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. ^^^Can we please add Spoiled Ballot Paper because i've enough of these idiots.

  5. People have become too centralised on northern ireland. That was the eu's ace card hoping it would stop.

What boris is offering is very little difference in reality to Mays deal and not the "leave to become an independent third country".

You could say this is the realism of the situation and the compromise of politics, for me it isn't what I voted for

  7. will you still vote Conservative then ?

  8. Try again then mate.

  9. It's a quandry to be honest Al.

Due to the tory/brexit pact, there is no brexit candidate. As long as corbyn and the time machine that is take me back to the winter of our discontent crew are in charge of labour, they will not get my vote

Libs, I think they are all on hippy crack under swinson

That just leaves the tories. Can I vote for them on brexit, I'd say no, can I vote for them within a general election given the only other choice is labour which is a no no? yes

The other option of course is not to vote feeling the whole system is so busy playing with itself that it's forgotten it works for us and not the other way around

  10. Thank you @portboy , that’s much clearer.

To continue with the clarification, can you please describe which EC functions would be continued to keep ‘the NI cross borders open’, such as (But not limited to) compliance with EC food standards, EC trading standards, EC taxation, EC working practises, EC law, free movement of EU citizens?

Or to put it another way, how would it differ from “Remain” apart from not having representation by MEPs and a Commissioner in Brussels?

  11. No, not at all.

I'd like him to say whether he would support Remain or Leave.

  12. \allan. he is a brexiteer. just like farrage. when your leader dosent suport somthing they are against it.

  13. Coincidently, Corbyn wants everyone to do the same, in a second confirmatory referendum.

  14. Historically yes he is, why not just say it, I do think it would win him votes, whether he said leave, as people might expect him to from his history, or he said he has changed his mind and thinks we should Remain.

  15. This is a lie of course. If it was a confirmatory vote he would do it on what is currently on offer which labour are not

They are seeking to ignore the first vote completely so what exactly are they confirming? The only thing they seem to be confirming is keep voting till you get it right

  16. That's great, I think people want to know where he stands though.

  17. Let's play devils advocate and say Labour wins the election

Corbyn goes over to the eu and says, hey guys, I've removed a clean break leave and now removed the partial leave deal johnson had with you.

My intention is to get a deal with you which is staying in the eu effectively or voting effectively to revoke.

Now if you were the eu, how much effort would you put into any deal request by corbyn, knowing he has removed all leave options?

  18. After the videos the Tories released last week of Kier Starmer, now they are changing the name of their social media sites, you have to wonder why?

Faking the outcome of a video interview is a blatent attempt to mislead people.

The comments the Torys posted on their own Twitter account were percieved by them to be more believable under a different name.

All politicians on both sides can be fairly questioned about how genuine they are. Deliberate deception is something different.

  20. Yes, what I was getting at though was maybe a big deal if they had put out an advertisement during coronation street under a false name, but I doubt many people, other than supporters saw the Tweets anyway, maybe I am wrong.
