British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. What is the matter with Swinson's hands?

Looks like a puppet with an amateur pulling invisible strings.

  2. there are people looking again. not necessary changing minds. not yet anyway.

  5. yip. true. I know plenty that have gone the same way.
we have already had it said on here that these debates don't matter. i'v already had the conversation with a (English) friend of the Mrs (ex civilian army pro indi) who watched with her husband (ex cannon fodder and pro indi) whose mother, (English) is up visiting. the Mrs friend was up looking for a lil peace from her mothers constant rabbiting. the debate came up, always likely in my hoos ;). apparently the only time the auld yin shut up moaning was to listen the FM. still had a grumble but had a few questions as well.
    .
these debates where the smaller parties, tho in the SNP's case, they could be king maker. do make difference if done well. in many different ways. I don't know the viewing figures, going by the twitterati and the clips from the program and the media reactions to them. there will be plenty asking more from there own partys and plenty looking at the FM in a different light and for parties and manifestos that reflect them. its a slow thing. I give it 30-40years in England. 10-20 if we go indi soon.

  6. her seat is a fairly affluent one. tory light and we have the extra dimension of indi going through their minds. there has been no indi campaigning for 5years (for which the party get much criticism for) Brexit is forefront on their minds and the indi vote has been split by it.
swinson will get the tory remain vote, and the undecided yes voters. if there is a chance she can win her seat she will get the labour no voters too. I think its a fairly safe bet she will keep here seat. I wouldn't bet on her being leader next time round tho.

  7. They have had four different ones since '15 so for her to be in place in five years doesn't seem likely! Its also Chukas last chance unless he joins the SNP/ DUP/ Plaid so there is that to consider.

  8. even if he could, chukka wont be joining the SNP. and if he had already he would be out already. tho In his case i would be happy to see it. its one of my gripes with SNP. they are v,quick to push people, including members under the bus. too quick in my mind. they have lost some good people over the years for minor misdemeanours and perfectly innocent blog posts. and for what? to appease the press? its never gonna happen. I would like em to be more bollsy with them. I would love our elected to go, fuck you Marr, Brewer, Niel during an interview. I think it would win them support.

  9. I'd like more of our elected answer questions with conviction and stick it back to the interviewer. Sturgeon doesn't shy away, so why does Blojob? Corbyn faces most questions straight on but often his demeanor lets him down - he really needs to smile more!

  11. Question Time should make us all question the BBC. There was the Scottish guy who appeared almost weekly at one point. Farage must have had his own dressing room for the past six months.

To be certain someone said nasty anti semetic stuff (and cried about his daughters future) they brought back this tried and tested bloke ...

  12. It looks like he is getting the chance to speak in all the above photos. Surely Fiona Bruce Recognises him? She must do and she must be in on whatever the BBC/MI5 Agenda is

  13. yip. happens all the time. (orange jakeit and many others) another plus point to social media. the msm aint gonna do it.
I suppose I better clarify what I mean by Corbyn being a dick. the two partys are v,similar in terms of values. the labour tactic with their press in Scotland is to accuse the Gov of not using the powers it doesn't have and more often than not, blocked us from having, to mitigate tory austerity. which has been running for half the lifetime of our parliament. that's what has become of the original party of home rule. the sole purpose of labour in Scotland is to mitigate. no ambition. it also perpetuates the divides in society. you don't have to agree on the destination, but half the country knows the other half are making decisions based on bull.

  14. I think the Beeb gives Fiona a script with all the must have questioners listed. This is no accident.

Whats the chances on randomly being invited to the show four times, and being asked to give a (controversial) question everytime? My guess would be zero.

  17. I know. My Dad has me and three other people apply for every show of Strictly tickets, every year and he never gets them :)

  18. That Question Time guy should apply for Strictly tickets, he'd end up being picked from the crowd and win the competition!

  19. Err.....

    No.

  20. In some ways, polls are the same. They have their regulars they use whilst claiming to be "as a country" and it turns out to be the same 1000-1100 people only
