If you look into it you will find our power, water and transport companies are often owned by foreign governments
speaking from expeiriance, our area during the 60/70s had hundreds of small to medium sized bussnesses providing services for the nationalised industries. obviously the unions became to powerfull, but that wasnt the only reason industries failed, complaicency and arragance that came from empire and the failure to adapt when the internal market collapsed at the end of empire played a big part too.
Correct. Socialism is parasitic in nature and ultimately, saprophytic. It cannot live without a healthy body to feed upon (a capitalist economy) and as we have seen countless times throughout history, it eventually consumes the corpse it created. But yay, for the many, not the few, amirite?
