Lets be honest, even real Labour supporters (Im not, I just dont like Boris and voted tactical..) were looking at Corbyn, Abbott, Mcdonnell et al and thinking they were not fit for purpose. 3 years of dithering on the sidelines, followed by a party conference where the big issue is Brexit. Their answer, odd shoes, NHS, a 4 day working week. And still no clear view on Brexit. They got what they deserved tbh. Boris did not need to do anything. Even hiding in the fridge was not needed, as Labour defeated themselves.
If Farage disappears after Brexit on 31st Jan I can see many people petitioning Boris for a Scottish Indy ref to get rid of Sturgeon - vive democracy

yip, we know theres a slim majority of brexiteers that want brexit over the union. we know that as much as 75% of tory brexiteers want brexit over the union. that dosent give bojo much room for promising the earth again at the next reff.

The problems haven't been about whether "the Government" had a majority or not. The problem has been a majority of MPs telling the Public, "Fuck you and your Brexit vote". We shall see whether new management and the disposal of some rancid anti-democratic detritus (Soubry etc) makes a difference this time.
