British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Its an association thing, don't drink yet.

  2. I don't think i did, i am bit more grounded than that but not to say i didn't want Labour to win. I'd have you in my Quiz team specialist subject Bullshit..........:eyes:

  3. true, and the UK Gov and partys keep making the arguments for indi. you will see that support rises.
I think it might be worth pointing out that the polling doesn't include all the people that are and will be included in the next reff.

  4. The mail online article today is saying the percentage is still roughly the same as 2014 at 55-45.

  5. yip, it did the easy/lazy thing and take the 45% that voted SNP at the GE as a reff result.
40% of labour votors are indi supporters.
the Green party are an indi party.
ferk me, even torys and liberals vote for indi.
16-17 year olds get to vote in our election too. one of the biggest group of pro EU votors out there.

  6. Isn't that what nic did after the ge vote, claim it as an overwhelming wish for indi whilst knowing the real constant and for years, has been low to mid 40's?

  7. But why do that if they still think Momentum is the answer and the only problem with the 2019 Labour Manifesto was that the voters didn’t engage with it. They are more likely to try to change the voters.

A young person was heard to complain on TV that it is unfair that she doesn’t get a vote as she is under 18 years of age, whereas her grandparents get two!

  8. it was 50+ the days before September the 14th 2014. hence the promises of extra powers. the option of extra powers Cameron refused to have on the ballot paper when the edinbro agreement was negotiated.
the same agreement where no, once in a generation commitment was made.

  9. They say that a picture paints a thousand words. :eyes:

It's even more desperate for Labour when you put it in that context.

  10. what is it that makes you suggest that we wouldn't understand what it is we are voting for? base your reply on the results of the last 20years.
    lets make a quick comparison.
Scotland in the EU. 90% of our own legislation and about 90% of our own economy and contributing to shaping the framework of the remaining 10%.
Scotland in the UK, 15% of our own legislation and ecconomy. with no input bar the ability to shout, Oi, over here, in the other 85%.

  11. You don’t even know if you would be a giver or a taker - nothing new there for fin :bucktooth:

anyway, I’m in my beloved Europe - dinner soon :p

  12. I wouldn't have a big issue with either if I had a say or veto even, on what it was I was giving to or taking from.
I wonder how yer mrs and kid would be received in many parts of your country now.

  17. mate, I haven't been this calm in a v,long time. my calmness is based on results. yours is based on wishful thinking.

  18. No real surprise. Go more socialist (rejected due to crazy Labour manifesto..) or go American.
There is more than one way of handing over to the US with a trade deal. Its not selling off NHS, not technically, it is selling people down the river though.
    Lets wait and see.
Health care in France not totally free, but subsidised. Might be the model adopted at some point in the future.
Conservatives cannot cut corporation taxes, spend on hospitals etc without a need to fill the shortfall.
Welcome to what has been signed up for in the future.

  19. the lobbyists want the right to produce Scottish in America. we currently sell 1billion pounds of the stuff a year to America alone.
    will the torys allow it?
