British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  3. I try to entertain :D.

    Q. If I start a thread called
"BREXIT - What now? (excludes any reference to the 4%)"
would you leave it alone with all your shenanigans?

Hang on a moment.... I don't need to we already have a UK Indy thread and a Scottish INDY 2 thread.... no need to start a third or mix up the other two.

  4. Reasonable view from Caroline Flint.

  6. Theres no figures re where Johnny foriegner goes when he visits our islands.
Given that a huge amount of people visit London as a stop over, and the huge disparities in concentrations of local people, Scotland doesn't do too badly I think.

  13. Well I read it and it just seems another person trying to push a blog. It seems to be he is reflecting more on himself and how he thinks others view him than what is actually going on

    example..he says
Beveridge and Turnbull (1989) argue the Scots suffer from a sense of psychological inferiority in which Scots have come to see themselves and they are seen by England i.e. as being inferior to and dependent upon the largesse of England.

The same could be said of any mainland part with the capital city. The same statement has the same gravitas if I change just a few words

Beveridge and Turnbull (1989) argue the Shetlanders suffer from a sense of psychological inferiority in which Shetlanders have come to see themselves and they are seen by mainland Scots i.e. as being inferior to and dependent upon the largesse of Mainland Scotland.

The other statement at the beginning

The Scottish Cringe as described by Beveridge and Turnbull (1989) refers to the Scots lacking personal and political confidence in their ability to govern themselves

That's not been my experience, the feckers never shut up about it:D in fact, if you think about the 4 nations, only one of the nations are constantly accused of racism and that is when the george cross of England and English take pride in their nation too.

my own experience has been is that whilst the Scots would rather have a Scottish party run their devolved government, they are not confident in their own Scottish politicians being able to run an independent Scotland as their approach has been very ukip, lets get the bastard English out then we can have the germans rule us but what do we do now?

  14. Very civilised!

OK, who hacked poor peanut's account? Own up, you ragamuffins!

  15. They must have hacked it, he's in yemen with jeremy, something to do with flowers?

  16. I suspect that's just a wee example of your own cringe. yeah yeah, everyone hates you and you don't care. we know already.
the strange thing is, i'v seen more English flags at indi carnivals than I have anywhere else.

  17. this is more of an exposure of your prejudice and thought processes than the reality of what's going on in the country.
they are not confident in their own Scottish politicians. ? how many countries suffer from that?
very UKIP? is that what kippers do? walk around while being the party of government telling the Germans to get to fuck?
hmm, is there any truth that the tory party had to out kipper the kippers to win this GE?

  18. Threads merged

  19. Well, as a finale/swansong (or Swinson?) for the Gen Elec thread.....
