British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. How about just renaming it then - we could have a referendum, I’d choose ‘Bob’.

If you vote for the correct party, they will do the thing you like with the Tax, like they promised, no ?

  2. Ahhh, yeah ... sort of. Or put another way, no. Not at all.

I would, in your case, just pay the additional voluntary tax contribution and totally ignore how it is spent.

  3. "The UK is on the verge of a new chapter in its history," said Boris Johnson.
He's promised to finish the job by delivering Brexit within weeks.
He hopes the country would move forward united after it leaves the EU on 31 January.

....more prosperity and fairer opportunity to be the hallmarks of a remarkable new decade.

Boosting resources for the NHS, improving the UK's infrastructure, tackling violent crime and protecting the environment are among his government's other main priorities for the year ahead.

First item on his agenda IS delivering on the mandate of the people

We can start a new chapter in the history of our country, in which we come together and move forward united, unleashing the enormous potential of the British people.....

    GO Bojo.... :)

  7. How didn't we see this all coming in 1985? o_O Although Kenneth Williams was on the side of the EU, that may have skewed the country.

  8. Why do these things need ‘fixing’ though ?

  9. the cracks forming the political divide between Scotland and the rest of the UK were already visible in 2010, now they have widened into a chasm. Not even Boris Johnson’s fantasy bridge can unite the two sides. British politics are set to descend into further disrepute. Boris Johnson has promised to increase the minimum wage by four times the rate of inflation. He’s promised record investment in the NHS. He’s promising major new infrastructure projects. Yet at the same time the vultures of the Tory party are expecting tax cuts and the prospect of a no deal Brexit is now greater than it ever was before. This is looking very like a prime minister whose honeymoon in office will end in the most spectacular fashion. All this will only increase the dissatisfaction in Scotland, and will continue to boost support for independence.

  10. Duh. To get re-elected, silly!

  11. oh yeah. Silly me.

More Thatcherism then, hope he doesn’t visit any factories.

  12. Wrong thread? The 4% has it's own thread at the moment. It's the only independence you'll ever get.... I'd use it if I was you.

  13. Public ownership mismanagement. All will be sorted shortly.

  14. He'll only visit them once. Where's the harm in that?

  15. wrong attitude. chill.

  16. Nothing really, have to hope he’s only in for one term otherwise he could run out.

  17. Ok......

  18. I for one am hoping that BoJob's current premiership is the last one we see in the UK.
