British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. In a purely totalitarian way of course :yum

  2. aye, you could see how some might exploite that situation.
    i wouldnt of course.

  3. This is the thing, everyone took part knowing only one group would win but even those who lost, understood democracy and were okay with it, so much so, they voted in the referendum anyway.

Only when they lost did they cry foul and then sought to turn a national vote, into a local vote, completely undermining their claim of "what about democracy?".

None of that matters any more as the U.K. government is taking back control and with the mandate of a U.K. wide vote, are moving forward based on that peoples majority democratic vote

Of course, some people who are selective on what democracy actually is and they will continue to whinge till their dying day and they are entitled too. Best they not take part in any future votes though as it seems to stress and confuse them :D

  4. not quite the timeline. putting sewal into law was a better togeather promise. i understood that when i voted, that in the event of a no vote, the promises made would be honered.

  7. He pre-slammed him, before he even asked a question. As usual Blackford asked the same question he asks every week and the PM knew it was coming. :) The "rocketing pheasant"

  9. This is that diddy men event we mentioned the other month fin.

They run down from holyrood to ask questions they know the answers too and know they will then say "see, see, they never listen to the people of Scotland" whilst wearing ear plugs where they have ignored the people of Scotland themselves since 2014 and then run back up to holyrood all diddymen chuckling to themselves :D

  10. You seem to be confusing MP's and MSP's in your analysis

  11. Hardly, msp's run round holyrood, mp's (diddy men) run up and down to westminster chuckling diddy laughter

  12. they ask the questions where the answers will be used to further their, and half the countrys goal of independence. its about the only time you will see the answers without the UKOK filter.

  13. The Diddy men were a fabrication of Ken Dodd's reality from Merseyside  just sayin'

  14. Only references were King Arthur (fictional) and King Henry (a number of English monarchs to choose from) - still not got the connection with Holyrood?
