British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Diane, is that you Diane, get out of fins account

  2. no, the diane you're referring to has been telling porkies. she has suggested the UK's contributions are 60% of what we earn and they (who are actually we) tell us how to spend the remaining 40%.

  3. im seeing suggestions that folks should put all these new 50p tropes in a jar then save em to take them all out of circulation.
i'm gonna spend them while that are still worth something, anything even.

  4. I'd save up Sterling if I was you dude. I can't imagine what the Jock Rupee will be worth if you start your "Journey"

  8. Lol at the Leavers acting as if EU membership is a one way valve.

Firstly, economics. I’m genuinely lol’ing at whoever said the U.K. will be selective who it does business with if Trump gets sulky and takes his trade deal ball home.

Secondly, demographics is a bitch, motherfudgers.

Thirdly, there’s that crazy little thing called Parliamentary Sovereignty they’re all so keen on. Which means any Parliament in the future can undo the gammony handiwork of previous electorates.

We’ll be back in the EU within 15 years, but on worse terms. No veto for plucky little England this time though (and it might well just be England rather than the U.K. by that time, the Union being a relic of history).

And, befitting of the momentous once in a generation nature of this week, for the first time ever, @Loz and I agree about something https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/british-indy-what-happens-now.67471/page-2446#post-1538571

  9. Be honest fin, Scot's leaving a light on that they pay the bill for?

  10. no you do, I have just put on the old 3bar heater. thanks, my lil one way valve. (sphincter)

  11. Keep lolling. Before recent events it was said Boris would bend over and never stand up to Trump just to get a trade deal. Today he has stood up against Americans in regards to Huawaei and seen what Britian needs first is important

Simple reality, when teens are young and have fuck all, they think everyone elses stuff should be shared out and probably vote labour. When they join the real world and have to work for what they want, they tend to vote tory.
Add to that, births are slowing quite a lot in the U.K. whilst at the same time, people are living longer...ergo, oldies rule, even the new ones and there are more of us

They can, but as you've seen in europe, no government likes to give a real referendum to the people. We've had two, both have been acted on the democratic majority peoples decision. Then here is the remainer weakness, you keep ignoring what is going on in europe, and that place is not improving, check out France today

Sorry, I had tried your lolling, it's quite infectious, you assume the eu will be there in 15 years, lol as you say

  12. Nah. As you yourself pointed out, I am the Great Zoltar. Therefore I can see into the future much better than you can, so I win.

  16. Come on Exi, try and find something original to say.

Your mate Rob tried that same thing yesterday and fell spectacularly flat on his face when he compared Noobie to Stephen Seagal.....clearly not realising that Seagal is a not a real fighter but is actually a fantasist and a fraud who once soiled his trousers when he encountered someone who did it for real.

Hence the comparison was actually rather apt and I’m sure both Noob and Rob appreciate you reminding everyone :joy:

  17. Don't become boring dude  you've said that about half a dozen times already and it ain't washing

  18. I sincerely hope not. Look at the diameter of it.
