British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Says the man who insists others back things up :tearsofjoy:

Fin I feel so miserable without you, it's almost like having you here

Let me let you in on a secret, Leaving the EU project is not about you, the snp or Scotland. It is however about the United Kingdom of which you are a part so putting your hands over your eyes and ears saying I am not looking or listening does not suddenly make a seperate negotiation.

Again I come back to the thing you cannot or will not answer. Scotland is one of four partners within the united Kingdom but because you do not like anything which you do not like, you want to leave the union.

What on earth are you going to do should you leave the U.K. and attempt to join the EU when 27 other countries do not agree with you or the snp, leave them too?

You say you like facts Fin so here is the most obvious one, The EU will only negotiate with the United Kingdom government, the end.

  6. you know, the strange thing is, the queen has been quoted recently as saying there are a lot more Scottish accents in parliament now? why? still the same amount of MP's.
i suspect they have been standing up and using the voices instead of bending over and abusing their arses.

  7. I believe that the snp has a greater maj in our parly than the Tory have in yours ,,, anyway didn't she look good yesterday ❤️

  8. this is gonna take some time, some of it will come from wings. the site that no media can touch, they have tried and lost. i wont quote from the johnstone press or murduch for what should be obvious reasons. 4 equal partners.? what i need for you to do first is a little research. start with the act of union and the alien act.
move forward to the present day and the recently completed Scotland act and how the recent article 50 court case shown it up for what it was.
i do however accept that i dont always come across well, mostly due to me assuming the person i am talking to is genuinely interested and at least has a modicum of knowledge on the subject in question. doh, failed again. :smileys:
Now, i have wasted to much of my time looking around for evidence of anti anyone (apart from the forage and co) in any literature or interview from the snp achieves. i just cant find it. could you help me out there please?
re the rest of it, give us a shout when yer ready. :upyeah:

  9. Be careful there , best not to post anything too controversial for the Andy Capp brigade , a certain member may be calling you a catholic !!!

  10. no chance i agnostic, or is that antagonist?
    :Hilarious:
    :Wideyed:

  11. That'll be the voices on MP's McGarry, Thomson and Law? How do they compare to the inferior pathic ones you refer to?

  12. Are you still trying to sell the Scottish Viz?

Given your blindess fin, I threw that in to attract your predictability, I'd like to thank you for your consistency.

You bemoan a 4 country system within the U.K. You bemoan that Scots are not treated equally and that you want no part of an unequal and unjust alliance, which is admirable.

However it all goes downhill after you look toward the EU to be your saviour. It has a 28 country system and there is even less equality than the system you want to leave. Hell, everyone knows Germany runs the EU propped up by France. So you see what you claim is your saviour is actually many times less democratic and, as politics normally are in a organisation, the strongest countries tend to take the lead. I'm sure you can relate to this as this is what Holyrood and the snp do to the orkneys, shetlands etc. This is how the system works, the largest party tends to be the leading one of any organisation. You cannot have it both ways as much as you try

Your whole anti tory anti westminster rhetoric again, nothing wrong with that but your argument as to what the best other option is fails significantly using your own standards as to what is not acceptable.

2easy, yeah I saw it yesterday, I'll give you she does seem to have an external confidence that few politicians have, she is obviously copying Maggie:upyeah:

I saw panic however from her, she knows the minute article 50 is launched her clock is ticking and removing the possibility of her version of Scotland. There also becomes the technicality as I'm sure you will understand

If union and management are to enter into negotiations then the senior team in the union act on the unions behalf

What Nicola is doing is the shop floor steward trying to ignore the unions recognised team and go it on her own, she knows she does not represent the union at that higher level but more importantly, nor will the employer disregard the official negotiating team by recognising her, leaving her looking silly and those she represents being promised something which she cannot achieve.

In the simplest terms, Nicola knows she has no place at the table and has not been asked by the U.K. government or the European Union so what she is selling isn't anything anyone wants to buy. She is wearing little more than her own emperors new clothes.

  17. I did notice she had her hair cut so it looks less of a crash helmet and cheap Kimmy Krankie impersonator. It suits her also that she seems to have gotten in a professional make up artist.

I admire her determination and drive but in the world of politics, she is trying to sell 3 toilet politics where only two are needed. I did like the mirror behind her though

  18. Have you been taking lessons again from Duke ? I warned you about that Fin Duke uses statistics as a drunken man uses lamp-posts...for support rather than illumination.

  19. Don't need ammo.

As they all sit in the same place, have families and in the main look to do their job - it's a bit of a generalisation to state that if the MP isn't an SNP member they're irrelevant or as you put it "passive partners".
