British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  1. aye. thats the one.
i thought i would offer the wee fig leaf seeing as its crimbo and all that, :smileys:. but tell you what tho, if this is an example of how westminster is gonna carry out the negotiations then goat help us.
what is it, about 60-70-80bill deficit with the EU? split that 27ways comes to less than what one young aristocrat saved on inheritance tax in the uk recently.
    be prepared to be reamed.
anyhoo. like i said, in the spirit of crimbo, i leave this thread here.
unless i am forced to correct any certain stats and such like that get quoted from...eh... respected :Hilarious: outlets.
    :upyeah::smileys:

  3. But it isn't split 27 ways equally.

And we would walk away before we were "reamed".

So whilst they are posturing, for now, they don't have the strong hand they think.

Also the way in which Brexit is handled by the 27 will show up some deep divisions within the EU, and an "enemy" divided ...

I firmly believe common sense will prevail, the hard liners will be reigned in and a deal that is the best for all will be found.

And who knows, that nice Marine Le Pen, could become the next President of France. I can see her and Nippy getting on like a house on fire ;).

  4. I wish they'd call it something else. It reminds me of Mull of Kintyre. I'm seeing the album cover but if I start hearing the tune as well I'll have to ask ET to ban all mention of it on the forum.

  5. I think you may mean, offer an olive branch.. As in do something against your norm to maintain or obtain peace.
a fig leaf was used by adam and is associated with hiding ones shame. ( perhaps fig leaf is correct)

All very passive aggresive and done to make you look like the smaller person when you come back. :Writing:
