British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  14. With so many figures around it's difficult to pin down 1 but generally the shit storm we were told would happen, hasn't. Even the leading parties in project fear admit now that the U.K. not only isn't in trouble, but is doing far better than the countries we are about to leave.

I saw one figure where it said in mortgage costs, the U.K. is in debt to the tune of 1.6 trillion . That of course would have the roamoaner's frothing in their pants, until the sentence was finished. The sentence finished with, those same properties are estimated to have equity of 5.2 trillion in them.

Lets be honest, there are only about 3 countries who could pull a Brexit off and they are the largest contributors with us being the second highest contributor.

  17. I believe that Duke42 would refer to that as "disastrously draughty and catastrophically open to the elements".

  18. What seems to be happening is Mays delaying tactic seems to have paid off.

Had we launched article 50 asap with all the project fear, then we would have looked weak, the delay has shown if any country within the current EU is doing well, then it us the U.K.

  19. Unless it was located in Brussels. Then it would have been a spacious open plan residence, close to commuter motorway links. :)

  20. That odious mate of mizzy cranky has just been on the radio stating that there will be another Scottish referendum within 2 years if he and his gal don't get Brexit their way. Didn't think it was his or his gal's call?
