British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Those would probably be the 38% of Scots who didn't do as the snp told them , shhhhh

  2. along with the 180000 EU migrant workers and families that we on the whole have made v.welcome and have made there home here?. yet may and co refuse to make there position more secure, hmm.
no rise in hate crime here compared to what?
or maybe you where talking about the unaccompanied refugee kids their now refusing entry.
    dear dear dear.
    more deflection, *ignore*
    :smileys:

  3. What on Earth are you on about, finm? You are sounding more and more like old Landlord Mick - "Roll on Death, roll on Destruction!".

If I could turn your attention back to the matter in hand, which is a minority of Scotchfolk who are attempting to betray the UK, ally themselves with a hostile quasi-government, turn their backs on the country that has looked after them and kept them safe for the past three hundred years ... honestly, you have the attention span of a midge some days ...

  5. Is that how it worked in the EU, finm? We elected our government? :Hilarious:

  6. Shhhh don't tell him

Hate crime in Scotland up as 3700 racial charges reported

Police Scotland report an increase in hate crimes following the EU referendum - Daily Record

They are not refusing the kids entry, they are not accepting any more applications from the Calais camp (which was in a U.N. recognised safe country) as the camp is no longer there.

They ARE still processing applications from the countries around Syria that have camps and are STILL giving priority to unaccompanied children, the GENUINE ones and not the 25 year olds pretending to be 13

As to May and the migrants from the EU, every single party as well as the UK government has said they are safe here but we need it in writing that our citizens overseas will be shown the same respect too.

They have also said that once negotiations have started that this is the first issue they want dealt with and dealt with immediately so we can allay all sides fears by announcing it before moving on with the other business.

  7. Sorry noobie, could you repeat that? I was too busy whistling to pay attention. Again.

  10. not seeing much hostility up here.
    no rise in hate crime.
doing everything they can to make our migrant friends EU or otherwise welcome
fighting for the promised 3000 lone kids.
offering a compromise re single market access. doable elsewhere.
nope, we are deffo doing our bit to avoid hostility.
unless you think representing their constituents is an act of hostility?

  12. To be fair to our subliminally indoctrinated snp kilt sniffers, there was a poll that said there was an increase in support for Scottish independence.

It's still not beating the wish to remain but is very close and was a bmg poll in The Herald Scotland. The paper is known for having combined a centre-left stance with support for Scottish devolution, and later Scottish independence.

Anyway the poll, the poll was taken amongst it's largely independence reading readers and was
    Base = 1,067 Scottish Residents Aged 16+; Fieldwork conducted 26 - 31 Jan 2017

Just a point that stands out, the age group includes people who are 16 and are not able to vote and in a country of over 5.2 million, just over a 1,000 in a pro leave paper may seem a bit desperate. if not dubious

The article Iain Macwhirter: To stay in EU, Nicola Sturgeon must take us out of UK pre-Brexit (From HeraldScotland)

Half way through this spikes interest

What might be on the table this time? Precious little so far. Some at Westminster have even speculated that Theresa May is trying to provoke the Scottish Government into calling a referendum. A second referendum defeat would force Nicola Sturgeon to resign, destroy the Scottish Government’s credibility and probably lead to the SNP’s defeat in the next Scottish parliamentary elections.

The last paragraph states what I have been saying for sometime

It’s understandable that people want to wait and see. But the Scottish Government doesn’t have time on its side. If she wants to have any chance of Scotland remaining in the EU, Nicola Sturgeon has to take Scotland out of the UK before Brexit. Some are forecasting an announcement within weeks.

  14. Porky Chops is a charmer, isn't he? His finds it impossible to contain his hatred of the English. :)

Salmond asks ministers to 'bend one for Beckham' after ex-England star's knighthood snub (From HeraldScotland)

His quote is interesting. Presumably he thinks 55.3% of his fellow countrymen and women gave fawning support to the Better Together campaign. :Hilarious:

Former Scottish first minister Mr Salmond asked Commons Leader David Lidington: "Can we have a statement on the shock and disappointment being felt across Scotland at the failure of former England captain David Beckham to gain a knighthood?
"This is particularly the case since he'd been advised that his fawning support for the Better Together campaign in 2014 would play well with the establishment, and in turn help your knighthood".

  15. On the positive side, at least Holyrood would have a player for a country who has gone beyond the first round in their mist for a change

  16. Now now, less of that. :D They still have Archie Gemmill in '78 you know. :) They even have a dig at England in their World Cup song. They just can't help it. :Banghead:

  17. I met Archie Gemmill last year. Really nice man. Lot smaller than even me!!
