British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Stormy waters, fear not the EU is in sight and we'll all be saved.

  8. EU tells Sturgeon 'join the queue' with an independent Scotland | UK | News | Express.co.uk

    :Hilarious:

It would have to apply from scratch and follow the usual accession process joining a list of candidate countries including Montenegro, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The head of representation for the European Commission in the UK said Scotland would have to commit to joining the euro and tackle its £15 billion deficit to meet membership rules.

And she also poured cold water on Ms Sturgeon's plan for a Norway-style deal warning there was "no precedent" for differentiated arrangements between parts of a partner country.

  12. The bare facts are, should Scotland leave the U.K. then for the E.U., there would not be the rush to let Scotland join the E.U. in the same way the snp feels or would need. This would leave the Scots, outside of the E.U. for years and outside of the U.K. full stop.

That is a very difficult place to be for a nation that depends on both the E.U. and the U.K. for the country and it's industries.

  18. Which is why despite all of the bluster from the SNP there will not be another IndyRef anytime soon, because it will go the same way as the last one. Sturgeon knows this, although she will never admit to it, yet she continues to do all she can to derail Brexit.
