British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. An excellent description of the EU.

  2. Those happy meals still ain't working are they duke

Even those who didn't want it on the politicians and companies side know we have passed the point of no return. They will all be posturing to make sure it will be as sucessfull as it can be because it will either effect the profits or mp's jobs at the next election.

Brexiteers won't get everything they wanted but will get most of it but also on the plus side duke when it works, you will have a lot of glitter to play with

  3. But what if it doesn't work? Or is it easier to avoid the question? There is no guarantee.

  4. There is no guarranty when you get married or your car will work every morning or you duke might say something happy for a change, but we all live in hope.

There is always a risk something might not work and that question would have been and will continue to be asked by the negotiation team to reduce the risk to a bare minimum.

I have to say the feedback from the European heads so far means they know they are not dealing with a pissy ant small non contributing country.

Interestingly, Martin Schulz President of the European Parliament has recently stepped down and within the last few days the old wino Junkers has said he will not stand for re-election in 2019 (this is assuming the eu still exists by then).

That is why I feel the tide is turning, the friendship and trade from Britain may just be one of the constants in an ever changing Europe, so better to have a good friend than a bad one. At all times the U.K. has said, we are leaving the E.U. and not Europe

So let's go down the duke route, were doomed we're all dooooomed

Worst case is no deal can be agreed and we use wto rules, it could see a possible drop whilst we restablish rules, deals and tarifs but these are the rules most of the rest of the world uses any way, till deals can be made directly between countries of which, we are already doing the ground work for. So even the worst case is not a bad case either

  8. Will West Sussex be OK? I really hope so.

Mind you, the two are not really comparable. More people live in West Sussex per square mile than live in the whole of Scotchland.

  18. hmm, how far can you see? the end of your nose? slightly less than yer memory?
yip, cracking day here too. Mull looks lovely, the sun just starting to rise between the two mountains behind me and its lighting up the Ardnamurichan peaks in front of me, v.nice.

  19. Very flat here with mountains in the distance. Sometimes shrouded in haze, sometimes clearly visible, the view changes as the day goes by.
Incredibly peaceful except for the occasional passing aircraft :)

  20. it will work, as all independent countries work, it will continue to take the decisions and direction by the leaders you vote for. the EU was never the problem, you home grown elite are. its the lack of viable options open to you when it comes to GE time. ie, yer fucked long term.
