British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. This is at the heart of the euro zone financial issue, they have taken on many countries that will take out of the pot, far more than they put in just to expand the eu project footprint.

Seeing the second largest contributor about to leave and a shortfall of around £10 billion a year about to happen and you can understand their panic. There are no big countries wanting to join the eu and could fill that gap.

Although Turkey could but they would want to control the whole of Europe under a sharia law or Scotland, Nic says she wants to slide into the U.K's place and Scotland is loaded. perhaps they can afford the £10 billion a year for the U.K's seat?

  2. how much trade does rrk do with Scotland? using uk govs figures around 60odd bill is it? how do you think yer tone will affect the opinions of the mibies aye's?
yip, 47%to36% with many of her MP's positions at risk. you may well twist and turn, misquote and edit fear in to some. me. you just bore. so,batter on son. you do Sturgins work for her. i am sure the EU isnt in any way aware of the turmoil going on at home behind May's .negotiating position. good luck.
    Empire2.0, anyone? /

  3. I really must insist google introduces Scottish into its translator programme

So are you saying Sturgeons claim that Scotland is a rich nation is a wrong un fin? Hey, fair point fin, the eu are on the look out for countries that wil pay more than they will take out, you've always said that is what Scotland does. Perhaps by Joining 27 other counries therefore increasing your independence (yeah right), the euro council will welcome you with open arms quick smart??

I'm not surprised as a snp supporter you would put up a something 2 link

might be difficult though as the Scots have not asked for indi 2. only the snp has

  4. noob, you forgot the greens, along with at least 50 other groups including English, lawyers, and business for yes not to mention people like me who aint in any groups.
you choose to forget noob, the members set the agenda and manifesto's, the MSP'S are elected and payed to deliver. which does make it rather awkward for the unionist party's considering there are lib, lab, and con for yes groups also.
if you used the first past the post system there would be about 80% of indi supporting msp's at holyrood. personally and like many i have spoken to, we is all a bit bored and tired of all this politics. tho, come the day it wont stop us voting, i have more than a sneaky suspicion we are gonna be the silent majority this time.
why wouldn't the EU want a resource and tech rich nation that already complies with every regulation and EU standard going? who even says that will be the definitive approach taken? the daily mail?.
some things noob have a value you just cant quantify as pounds and pence. thats what being a sexy socialist like me is all about. :upyeah: .
btw, doing a Ruth and slagging off my accent or my poor typing in slang (Scots) wont put me up or down. i don't suffer from the cringe.
    and it's off. good luck.

  5. Fin we both know as to forgetting the greens, the snp will dump them quicker than a dodgy beef curry on a vegans lips, the minute the vote was over.

As the to rest of the groups, they mean nothing in context of the snp's own manifesto which said the majority of the Scottish people and not every jock, dick or harry who is on our side, happy for you to show different?

as to the other bits, all you missed out was and if we added a sprinkle of fairy dust then all would be right in the world as long as it was snp fairy dust :tearsofjoy:

we have rules. boundaries, votes and results and they are what we deal with

Scotland might be wanted by the eu, I haven't said they would not but there are serious financial issues that the snp would have to deal with before the eu would let them join and you know that to be true and no, last time I checked, being a sexy socialist was not an okay you are in, qualification for the eu

as to slagging your accent (in text??) sometimes it is difficult unless you speak wee jimmy or have access to wee jimmy translators to know what you are writing, that isn't slagging, that is genuinely what on earth is he jibbering about

I'm always happy to read your personal blog links fin, they maybe written by men who are likely to have a sex robot as a partner but read them I will, always happy too.

By the 2014 snp's indi one timeline on how long it would take Scotchland to leave the U.K. being 18 months and the fact they cannot honestly ask to leave the U.K. until you know what the final deal is, then those two timescales show no matter what, ALL of the U.K. is leaving the eu.at the end of the discussions and deal

As to to guardian, that is only these days written for the Labour London bubble Clique so whilst I will read it, I don't see it as very reflective beyond Corbyn and momentum

  6. The (turncoat) honourable member for Ochil and South Perthshire looks perplexed. Having tried the rest maybe it's time to give the Libs a go.

  7. greens dumped? :Hilarious:. i will wager green was the second choice by many an snp voter.at the 2016GE they wont dump the greens needlessly, was that a wee divide and conquer technique there noob?
still denying the manifesto noob? well, whatever.
yes, we do have rules noob.the UN is very specific when it comes to self determination :smileys:.
still going with the "too poor" line noob? why not start a separate thread on the GERS figures. before you bore everyone shit less on this thread.
strange you cant understand the uk dialects? i can. does that go for Cornish, Liverpudlian, and all the others? are you really that much of a snob? that you cant get past accents and location of posts? there's a name for that btw.:Watching:
hmm, while i am no fan of the guardian, it does seem to be softening to the prospect of indi2. do you not like or can you not handle another point of view? there's a name for that also. i know i can. if you had been on here long enough you would know i am often playing the devils advocate. no group think going on ere.
maybe i am wrong, maybe i am right, who knows, the up shot being, i will get the choice.
    :upyeah:

  8. What a horrible bunch.

  9. Silly fin, I know you snper's like 2 bites of the cherry but you can only have 1 vote at the national elections you rascal. By the way I think the Scottish Tories were a fair number of places and votes above the greens

Nope, the snp's manifesto said indi 2 would require a majority of the Scottish people, not one snp politciain has agreed they have that.

Nope I again didn't say you were too poor, please keep up fin, I did point out Scotland has many financial issues that continually allowing a one trick party shouting indi all the time is allowing them to hie those issues but enough people are aware of those.

Carefull fin, I can see you reaching for the snp victim card as per your party training as you type. Listening to a dialect is far different from a person who types lazily and who also adds local slang to a point sometimes their posts are difficult to understand, the name you are looking for is observant but hopeful fin

I know fin, I've seen your flexibility on statements from the U.K. government

You had the choice, it was voted on, the snp didn't like the result so want another vote. The U.K. had a choice on brexit, the snp didn't like that democratic choice either so are trying to change that too. I see how snp democracy works, it is democratic as long as it is their way, ok, gotchya now.

  10. yip, while blare took us into illegal wars and screwed local councils over PFI deals. and much more.
while the torys as you have been discussing on other threads have doubled the uk debt, including shafting the population over election fraud, retirement age , yer NHS, yer transport, yer disabled and promoting tax avoidance. plus much much more.
but the real enemy are the 54+2 independents out of 59 Scottish MP'S. that are doing what was asked of them. wtf?
yip, see you here in 5years time still bitchen about the same things about the same people. by the same old faces.
    ZZZzzzz.
so, what to do, i got until the end of april to decide. keep the 848 and make the final payment or do i trade? hmm.

  11. Silly fin, I know you snper's like 2 bites of the cherry but you can only have 1 vote at the national elections you rascal. By the way I think the Scottish Tories were a fair number of places and votes above the greens
go and have another think.about this. thank you. if i ever needed any proof that you know nothing of which you speak.

  12. Av it !!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Some interesting views concerning Scotland and I for one would expect everyone to get the vote they would like as we would all like to be democratic but, how will Scotland survive on it's economy without subsidies from the rest of the UK.

Would their pensioners like to pay for the nursing homes ? Would students like to pay for their loans? Would the ill have to pay for their prescriptions? After all we have to here sometimes the sleeping dog has to lie and a lot of Scots I know and work with do not agree at all with Nicola and her cohorts so this may even be a moot discussion.

By the way I am already sick of hearing about the brexit set off today. up just do it and wake me up when it's done.

  14. holyrood dehont system - Google Search
look at who was promoting splitting the vote and ask your self why?
listen noob or is it sibhian? because if you ant an express jurno, then maybe you should give it some serious consideration. you will notice loz mcsmart gob :Angelic: doesent take me on when it comes to parish politics. be smart, be like loz.

  15. Brexit didn't stop me buying an Italian Bike

  16. if you are genuinely interested a can show you how.
    start with this.
Economics of Independence Archives - Business for Scotland
we get a percentage back from what we pay in. only a percentage. we contribute a population share to pretty much every aspect of UK expenditure. including our share of uk debt servicing, wars, national infrastructure, trident,EU payments. etc etc, and are reflected in the GERS figures.
    Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
look specifically at the background of the GERS figures.

  17. I just lifted this from Facebook,so not mine.
But I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiments expressed:
"I found this on another page and had to share it because it's brilliant. It was written by someone called Brendan O'Neill - a journalist and columnist:
''What's amazing is the patience and dignity of Brexit voters. For nine months the political elite raged against them, ridiculed them, demonised them; branded them racist, destructive, "low information"; dragged their democratic choice to the courts in the hope that some clever judge would declare it illegitimate; took to the streets to call them idiots and buffoons and unwitting slaves of demagoguery; held them responsible for economic downturn and a return of fascism; declared them unfit for serious public life, which is apparently best left to experts. And yet Brexit voters didn't go mad or riot or crumble. They stuck to their principles (an amazing 96% say they'd vote for Brexit again) and patiently waited for their political choice to be acted upon. They kept their faith in democracy. They behaved liked the free-willed, autonomous adults that democracy needs in order to work and thrive.
The future is safe in their hands. Happy Article 50 Day!''...Brendan O'Neill.

  18. I knew I shouldn't have commented Finn just asked the question but I will not get into a big conversation about this as I can't be arsed to be honest. The worst thing is the way the subject is bringing out the worst in UK citizens. It is a big thing for some but others it aint but I remember as a kid some one voting for me in the joining of the EU and I was never asked and I have witnessed local business and livelihoods go since we joined I live in a what was once a big fishing community ......all gone now.

So we had a referendum and we voted out and it is going ahead but we could have voted in and I would accept it but some folk can't seems Democracy is only democratic when it suits one side.

Anyway best regards Finn I shall leave the argument
