British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Tee hee.

  2. ? what, no follow up with childish insults?.
    tory boy.
shame the council vote has become a single issue election. but i guess in hindsight asking a tory to think about more than one thing at a time (themselves) is expecting just a little to much. :Finger:

The SNP is a one-issue party (From HeraldScotland)

"At its core, the SNP is a one-issue party. Everything else, including the main objectives of their "partners", can wither on the vine of the SNP’s primary ambition of holding on to maximum power as a route to separate from the UK, whatever the impact on the people of Scotland."

  6. How about I word it in the real world for you duke to help you understand

One of the biggest of the group that caused the last recession tells us, the banks know what we are doing more than the democratic vote by the people, do as we say or their will be trouble.

  7. You don't live in the real world, nobbie.

Business HAS to do what is right for the Company. Not for the UK, not for the EU. If they cannot trade freely and easily with Europe from the UK, they will be better off based in Germany or Ireland.

  8. tetchy bunch this morning. :Hilarious:
yip, no childish insults from the Luddite. shocked so i am.
hmm, being called a tory is an insult now?
nope, papers arent biased now are they? especially yon lefty rag produced by the guardian. :Angelic::smileys:.
aye, a single issue party. that draws strong support from every part of society.rich and poor, left and right. not just those that are scared of corbin. with v.good results when it comes satisfaction figures, currently 30 points ahead of the mooth i believe.
if i vote tory, i am voting for the removal of free prescriptions, free care for the elderly, longer nhs waiting lists, and privatization, free bus passes for the elderly, free higher education, the return of bridge tolls, baby boxes, less child care, the rape clause, the return of the bedroom tax, against investment in infrastructure projects thats actually needed. , a government that goes out and promotes Scotland rather than one that promotes london and the south east. i have seen a British trade mission prospectus, 25pics, 24 of London 1 of some flat dull farmland somewhere. v.little mention of the other three countries.
ask pretty much anybody and they will say, i loves their policies. but cant stand the fishes. crazy kids.
yip. a one issue party. or a party united around one driving issue. a party that knows if its ultimate goal is to be delivered it has to prove effective in governance for all.
    win win. :upyeah:
    tick tock. :smileys:
hmm, sounds a bit cheesy doesn't it? . but meh, feck it. how did the kippers get on in england?

  11. That was my point duke, thank you for reaffirming it, the companies have a right to a say but as long as we have a democratic vote avaliable, then the peoples vote will be the decider

  12. None of that "free" stuff is free - it all has to be paid for by someone! "the rape clause" and "bedroom tax" are misrepresentation of necessary programmes to try to bring ever-increasing benefits expenditure under more control. What really is a huge problem for the UK is that we have more and more of a situation in which those that are asked to pay for it are those that then have to pay again or don't qualify (care for elderly being a good example). I doubt that the Conservative party election manifesto is going to be forthright about any of this though.

  13. I know, it's sad but he genuinely doesn't see it, please forgive him, he is after all crap at this, onwards.

Not all of their policies fin, stop being naughty now. And yes for most voters a guy fawkes with a pic of nics or alex's face on would not be unpopular, And fin, as long as the barnet formula is in place most of that stuff will be free paid for by others outside of Scotland, but will it remain free when the full cost is on the Scots shoulders only?

Does governance for all insisting on pushing through indi 2 despite the people of Scotland voting against it less than 3 years ago and no majority asking for it mean good governance though?

Of course it sounds cheesy fin, it's a you post. Kippers will all but a few will be wiped out I suspect with many going back to the tories

  14. yip, everything has a price. some are worth paying, some aint. it seems most are happy with the arrangements. it's quite often cheaper to universalize it rather than pay an agency(more privatization) to asses it. personally i am happy to pay more if spent correctly, ie, all the things above and some.
the rape clause along with the bedroom tax is a v.telling window into the tory mind. and it's just not the wording. but, no time for that now. heres hopping you never are in a position to need help from the DWP.
just a wee aside. no private agency will be allowed to asses DWP claimants in Scotland. another good policy

  15. v,busy today so i will keep it short.
