British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. There is no single market. There is a single regulatory regime. You don't pay for "access" to a control regime, you pay to be controlled by it. We will escape its influence and trade with the 27 EU economies from outside that regulatory regime the same as the rest of the world does.
I fail to see what is so hard to understand about that nor why the prospect of economic freedom is so terrifying.

  2. It's this idea that the EU is some kind of antidote to manipulative, exploitative national government - that is one of the more fascinating aspects of Remainerism, for me

It's the delusion that membership of the EU is some form of protection from the effect that corporatocracy is having on our lives - rather than the means by which rule-by-corporation will be cemented throughout Europe. It's almost as if the example of the USA does not exist.

    Frankly, it's bizarre.

  3. i can. in so many ways. but first you have to adopt the idea that people are sovereign not government or corporations for that matter. bit of a tough one to swallow for the British i guess.
corporations exist because we allow them to exist . with 500,000,000 pointing the finger rather than 60,000,000 mostly sheep, brain washed in to accepting what we accept who wields the most power? corporations aint going away but they can be shaped. but not by a pissy wee country run by parliaments whose leaders and media are in hock to the corporations.
sure they are a lot more progressive and left leaning on the continent. but maybe i am wrong.

  4. Oh blimey. Governments cannot and will not fight corporations, their relationship is symbiotic, not adversarial.

People fight corporations. If enough people do so, they can fight them successfully. Not that we will see that happen, of course. For all the weeping and wailing and railing against people like Murdoch, newspapers are still bought, people subscribe to the on-line versions, etc. The opening steps for battling the power of corporations and breaking their lobbying of government would be for a mass boycott of the MSM and looking to alternative sources of information.

The UK Government realises this of course. Or did you think that attempts to force service providers like Whatsapp to turn over private data to "the authorities" was an anti-terrorism move?

  5. Honestly it's not hard to keep up with dukes thought process, just imagine between his ears is the twilight zone and very little then surprises you, works for me

  6. loz, i know you like a lot of verbosity and in depth rerunning of the analysis we will have gone over a hundred times already. personally i dont see the need. in my circumstances if say to someone, i see yon tory cunts are at it again. they will know already. they will know the how, the where and the why they are cunts. they will know whats required and how its achievable. believe it or not we don't walk about talking politics all day, mostly because we dont need to, we just know.
i am just after watching this, i struggled where to put it but after reading your last few lines i think i will put i here. i know you rate franki i do to. like bateman and wee ginger he puts the words to my thoughts

  7. Champagne socialists are mostly morally corrupt fin, you know this, I doubt Frankie is short of a few shillings so to go on about the poor people seems a bit yawn.

What it does highlight though fin, is no matter how big a turnout for a democratic vote is, the noisey losing side will always find a camera to say it's not fair. They rant about democracy but as long as it is their version.

As to Grenfell, they did not suddenly get built when the tories were in power, evacuated them when labour came in then put back in again when the tories came in again.

I will agree on the media point, of which Owen is one, disguising tory bashing as news whilst at the same time offering no real offerings of how to much it better.

  8. cant think of a single poor person that doesn't aspire to be wealthy. poor people dont despise wealth. they often despise those that say they played no part in wealth creation.

  9. anyhoo, i'm aff to take the wains to "young nats". enjoy yer ranting. later.

  10. Gotta train em early ay? Have a great day fin

  11. Hence why the term 'Hard Brexit' was spawned.

You are either leaving the EU or you are not. (For those still struggling with this the EU is NOT Europe)

Mr Juncker and his cronies made it perfectly clear, as such I am still gobsmacked by the 'anti hard Brexit' debate by the likes of Labour et al

To have any Brexit at all then surely it falls in to the hard camp

People are just going round in circles with this

  12. No because we can do the same deal as Norway and Switzerland.

  13. No we can't, The vote was very clear what most people thought the key issues were, the ability to control who comes in ourselves through controlled migration and booting out the echr and the european court in favour of our country, our laws.

On those two points alone we would never be able to achieve any deal such as Norway or Switzerland.

  14. Silly nunger

I knew what bait you were throwing but you let yourself down as in the past you have mentioned the taking the kids to the nature thingy ee ma bobbee, Not everyone is as forgetful as you and that is why I said, have a great day

  15. Translation, anyone?

If it is just a case of Tories! Westminster!!, that's cool, I know finm hasn't manage to progress very far with his politics lessons ... so same ol' tripe might just be, same ol' tripe.

Let me know when he shows signs of realising that the SNP is no different, in any real sense, to the rest of the political parties in the UK. I'll want popcorn for that.

  16. The best I could get from that Loz was "cvnts" everything else was a flash of mediocrity and something about a ginger bloke called dugg having a wee?

Dunno, fins outgoings vary as the sunshines lowers
