Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  4. Nope, I've changed my diet and was having a long poop

  5.
  6. First sensible thing you've said since ... I've know you, actually.

  7. I'm not defending anyone. Just that generally politicians have snouts in many troughs which they shouldn't and i think you will find that British politicians are one of the worst for that.

Its not the politics per se of Brexit that really interests me but the fact that it will make British people poorer and that we will have more restrictions on the way we can lead our lives.

  8. for example?

  9. We will no longer be in the EU? Is that the right answer?

  10. which means most of the country outwith the south and south east bubble will have to go to whoever is in power with cap in hand to fund projects which wouldn't be supported before. there's just one. but seeing as there is many projects its considerably more than just one.

  11. wales, the north west, north England, NI. Scotland's economy have been under the control of uk fiscal policy since the year dot. yet they are some of the poorest places in the EU. hence the funding. do you think it will be replaced? if so, come ere son, time fir yer bottle.

  12. You being half cornish fin should know better, the London bubble extends hardly outside of london at all.

And don't start that oh it's all London's fault nonsense again. As you keep reminding us, the snp have been in power for 10 years with the ability not to have shit holes in Scotland but plenty of shitholes you do have, so what is your own view on the snp's failure? Blame the tories at westminster again?

Stop with your special snowflakerry fin, if you want a gold medal then go to the olympics, if you want the gold medal for claimed oppression because no one could possibly have it as bad as the Scots then you are a tryer, I will give you that.

  13. yip, although I am pretty sure I listed the poorest parts of the uk.

  14. Fin, if the snp knew what it was doing, you would not after 10 years, have slums in Scotland.

You can blame all at Westminster as a pathetic fall back by that doesn't explain why under the snp, Scotland has some shite slum areas and some good areas. Were it all the fault of Westminster controlling the Scots budget then all of Scotland would be in the shit but it is not, so your constant Scotland is failing because of Westminster is a fraudulent argument.

As to bubbles, I'm pretty sure quite a few Scots think that Holyrood is a bubble that does not reflect or support most everyday Scots

  15. in a PR electoral system? fair point most tory, lab and lib msp's are list msp's some of them have stood and lost up to six times but still get the job. 90odd % of snp msp's are directly elected.
and again really? is that so? I guess we could say if the british gov new what it was doing yadda yadda yadda.. but many will accept even on here the british gov knows exactly what its doing. its tradition.
such bitterness. such anger. you still pining for somebody?. honestly let it go, it will be the death of you.

  16. Let it go fin? your the one who tries to introduce the snp and independence into every thread, this is because as we know despite all her huffin and puffin, threats to block and anything else she can think of, the snp on a global stage or even a national one, are insignificant. The indi 2 thread has even sunk into oblivion because, nothing is happening.

It still hasn't got a reply from duke, as per usual when you ask him for facts on just how
nothing, and you taking it back to Scotland the brave, yawn, is almost as predictable as duke giving facts that never were facts. Once you let the mind warping go and see we are all in the U.K. then your anger will subside, you will be okay, honest,

Now can I ask, if you are feeling left out and lonely by your Scottish nationalism at all costs in every subject, give me a shout, post a thread after dusting the cobwebs off in the indi 2 thread and I'll come over, give you a hug and dangle a carrot to see you dance, dance like a cheeky monkey

  17. wales the south west, north of England, Scotland and NI will have to go cap in hand to replace the funding the EU currently offer which is necessary after centuries of Westminster mismanagement. will it change after brexit?, come here son, time fir yer bottle.
noob, you are making a cunt of yourself. let it go.

  18. Why thank you sir but again you fail. You still have dividing us as your primary role.

If ANY part of the U.K. receives regular eu financial support for local projects, and the keyword is regular, then they, wherever they maybe in the U.K., will have to do "as they did with the eu", will have to put their case forward for why they feel they should have assistance. That application will remian the same whether it is the eu or the uk supplying the cash

The same system has been used because it works. The devolved governments have to put cases for expenditure into the U.K. government and when the devolved governments get their pennies, then all the county councils have to ask the devolved governments by purring forward their cases and when the county councils get their pennies, the borough/local councils put their cases for pennies to the county councils.

Once the government gives the pennies to the devolved governments then there are three levels between that include devolved government and it hitting the end state of the local council.

In Scotlands case, just as the same for all the devolved governments, there are 4 groups involved and only 1 is westminster and in England there is only 3.

Will it change after brexit? Probably not although a devolved government for England would be nice

  19. yip that's the procedure. pay in roughly 50odd bill net before oil you ask for a bit back. you get back 30 bill, the north of England, SW England, Wales and NI have poor representation so get less (belong to party's with priorities elsewhere) . at the mo those in power who since 1946 have only needed those Scottish votes for just over two years to remain elected for the last 70odd years (with EVEL and a ten to one majority in parliament there never was a Midlothian question)will use the 20odd bill surplice to fund things nobody wants and go on to say we have a 15bill deficit and call the 30odd bill a grant. then go on to use those figures to cause division and resentment between the poorer parts of the uk and Scotland. all the time not promoting the fact that spending is up to 10x per head more in the south and south east on in like for like projects.
when it comes to requests post brexit I think as long as we can keep the London partys out we at least have a chance. but I am pretty sure the N.O.E, SE, Wales are fucked.

  20. So the only future you see for all those regions of the UK outside London and the south east is dependency on hand-outs form the capital and the best way to ensure that money keeps coming is to launder it through the EU with Brussels keeping 50%?
Well its a vision of sorts I suppose but a profoundly depressing and paranoid one devoid of hope, optimism, imagination or economic literacy. No wonder so many Scots choose to anaesthetise themselves with alcohol if that's the best they can look forward to.
