British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. The more yesterday's has-beens like Clegg, Cable, Blair and Osborne bleat and cry about "stopping" Brexit the greater the momentum behind it and the determination to see it through will become. They have learned nothing have they these failed Canutes of politics. You've lost the argument folks and the more you shout about it the deeper you sink.

  2. Lost the argument? Whilst the bits the Government release seem to say there will still be free movement of people AND they want tariff free access to the EU market which they are prepared to pay for?

Sounds like the Brexit argument lost in every sense to me.

  5. Now duke you are a perfect example

Most brexiteers said, I am doing this for my kids and grandkids (that implies not day by day as you do) but more a few years to get out of the eu project then build our own rules for our own country and for our own future

Most remainers said I am doing this for my kids and grandchildren but every single day you would think they are the poster children for prozac, thankfully that number are reducing to leave the silliest still going. Duke, are you Nick Clegg?

The currency, particularly against the euro was predicted, I wouldn't be too surprised if the imf and chums are downselling the pound vs the euro but it's short term so most will be able to live with that.

On the plus side, we sell shitloads more, of everything
On the plus side for holidays we will probably do more staycations and keep more money invested in U.K. tourism
On the plus side, shitloads of tourists, are coming to the U.K. and spending shitloads with British Buisiness's
On the plus side Less flights out of the U.K. would mean less air pollution and perhaps an even keener market on flight prices
One the plus side we get to see your chuckledoms of doom everyday

    Oh what joy

  7. So, all the time that we are in the EU, we are able to have free money at our disposal and that will all end with Brexit?

Damn it Dookie, get out of my head!!!!one1!!!

  8. This is what a Danish MEP disclosed
It came to light after Danish MEP Rina Ronja Kari lifted the lid on the stunning largesse enjoyed by Brussels representatives, revealing how she alone costs taxpayers £560,000 a year.
On top of her £83,000 basic salary the MEP receives £79,000 in food and travel allowances, £226,000 to pay her office staff and an eye-watering £113,000 to “promote" (read bribe and corrupt) Of that cash, at least £80,000 takes the form of tax free payments that Ms Kari does not have to account for at all in her spending returns her work at the EU” to voters back home. On top of that middle managers enjoy a bumper regime of perks well beyond the dreams of most ordinary workers, including a £240 a month allowance for stay at home spouses and a £100 a month payout per child.
Hard-pressed European taxpayers also foot the bill for eurocrats’ children to go to private school, coughing up £80million a year whilst state education in many member states has suffered budget cuts.
Oh yes, forgot to mention that the highest rate of tax for anybody working within this corrupted and communist club is a measly 16%. Yes, that is right, whilst the rest of the top earners have to give 45% of their salary in taxes, go work for the EU and pay a maximum of just 16%. 20 000 of them take home more than our Prime Minister.

  15. quite a lot of hypocrisy in that clip. for a start off george is fully aware what makes up the YES movement including the participants varied political leanings
George Galloway, who coincidentally i like as a talker has been repeatedly accused of supporting terrorists and middle east regimes, he has on many occasions criticized the BBC for what he assumed (for effect) the SNP would do in an independent country. vetting who and who isnt allowed on political shows?.ffs but did you notice the split? 4-2 against indi. normally 5-1 to be fair. george like corbin who is becoming increasingly like any other power hungry politician as his recent unchallenged lies during his whirlwind tour of the marginals up here have exposed. i distrust him more with every appearance. the pair are in favor of independence for every county on the planet bar scotland. he is a constant critic of the Westminster system but feeds off it v.nicely. yet criticizes and fantasists about the motives with those that essentially and pretty much agree with his PUBLIC views and persona.
    ie a quisling.
