British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Ah, a bit like Jezzers 'I will pay all Uni Students £20k a year for life' promise :sob: ......... cool

  2. Given your sentence construction, spelling, punctuation and syntax, it may take a while to get a reply. They'll have to get a translator in. :)

  3. Our Ducati demand is a lot less ridiculous than that though :joy:

  4. As an expat living in the UK, I think Brexit is fucking idiotic. Such a waste of money, all for DM readers to have Blue passports

  5. MMM lovely blueeeee. How can you be an ex pat and living in the U.K.? Surely if you are British and in the U.K. then you are simply, home.

  6. Blue Passports!

Nobody mentioned that before. Watch that poll at the top suddenly swing to ‘voted remain but would now vote leave’.

What do you think we are, a bunch of magpies :joy:

  11. Surely then the term would be as a migrant to the U.K. would it not?

  12. Only if you accept British workers overseas are migrant workers as well.

  13. I would have thought they were, yes.

  14. In which case the terms Migrant Worker and Ex-Pat are interchangeable.

  17. However, they are not

In normal parlance, ex-Pats are people who are from Country A, living in Country B, when referred to by residents in Country A. In order for migrant workers in the UK to be known as Ex-Pats, you would have to a resident of Country B. Which you are clearly not.

I trust that this is clear.

  18. What about a visitor from Country C?
    Ah but
We're British living in Britain so all those Johnnies from A and B are foreign. Never let them in the Golf Club.

  19. Good Goat, you just want to open the floodgates, don't you.

I'm American and living in Oman. I do know a Johnny though and he is thoroughly British.

And if I had my way, there would be no Golf Clubs (or golf clubs, for that matter).

  20. I believe in the free movement of European Alphabets. Let in all the visitors from countries Ç and Ä as well.

    Apart from Cyrillic. Too tricky.

I voted for a Johnny in the SPOTY poll. He was british, not a Pole just to clarify.
