British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Which particular bit Finm? There's so much you ought to be agreeing with. [IMG]

  2. Honestly fin, I don't think most people think we have the best team, but I'd challenge anyone to deal with this, personally I'd prefer the dup with farrage as an assist, there would be a team that would put the U.K. first.

But we also have to be realistic, this isn't the internet football team manager game, we have what we have and Corbyn is an option no one wants to take. Most, however they voted, just want it done and dusted. Uncertainty and not brexit is causing people to be unsettled.

We have what we have BUT, during these negotiations, I do feel quite a few remainers have had the rose tinted glasses they had on about the eu, removed.

We also have a vote within the next few days to see if Germany can finally get a government and the Italians go to the polls on Saturday.

I think the people of the U.K. are less divided than some politicians and media would have you believe

and I'm not sure why you keep going on about Norway fin, it's full of Norwegians not Scots

  3. I'm not advocating this or any other government, I'm asking how giving up self-governance altogether can be an improvement. A large part of the reason why we have such poor politicians these days is because our political class have been emasculated by 40 years of membership of the European Project.

  11. I can't relate to 'too hot'. But then I grew up in Sri Lanka. Just have a coconut, take some clothes off, sit down in the shade.

  14. I didn't say our summer or climate in general was better than Europe's, only that it is unique because of our geographical location and has its own charms and compensations which should be better appreciated. The Mediterranean climate may be warm and sunny much of the time but the landscape is more arid and scrubby while our cool and damp country is lush and green (or at least it will be if we don't cover it in concrete) and there isn't the seasonal variation. Swings and roundabouts.
There is no nirvana whether in landscape and climate or in politics and if you spend your life chasing perfection you'll be doomed to lifelong disappointment.

  15. another fine example of the torygraph getting it wrong again?
can you tell me why its in the interest of that publication and the uk govs to promote the wealth of its scrounging neighbor? while exposing the successive corrupt and/or incompetent uk govs?

  18. Fin, you rant and rave about if Scotland were Norway on a regular basis and no matter what facts are put before you, you ignore them.

So I thought, I know, let's look at what Norway actually says about being the same. They told salmon the comparison is bollocks. I'm pretty sure the Norwegian foreign minister was not a tory and knew quite a bit more than Alex and probably you :D
