Whether you're a Brexit voter or Remain voter I implore you to read this article by Guy Verhofstadt https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/jun/28/europe-mini-trump-brexit-britain-viktor-orban After reading that finger pointing fanatics drivel, can you honestly sit there and say that you have any ounce of respect for this man? Or wish to be a part of his vision? What a complete and utter condescending gap toothed wanker.
crooks sir, it's ok Sargent, they're our crooks.. https://munguin.wordpress.com/2018/06/27/if-you-have-an-hour/
So Brexit is now the 4th priority issue for the EU and apparently only had a very short airing at the latest summit. They were too busy sticking plasters over the migration crisis trying to get Merkel out of jail with her coalition. Junkers ship continues to sail towards the iceberg. Meanwhile Barnier constructively reads out the same script passing the blame for lack of progress on the UK. If instead the EU were able to introduce some pragmatism, we may get things sensibly resolved. It is mutually beneficial for us to have a free trade agreement with the EU, especially as they export £80Billions+ more to us. The freedom of movement needs to be modified to have consistency with the rest of the World; apparently most of the EU doesn't have a problem with this but Germany and France do. Spain also has some issues and is now elevating Gibraltar as another sticking point. We can enter into binding agreements for compliance with EU regulations for a number of years, etc, etc. Come on, do a deal... Carney has also criticised the EU for not taking steps to ensure financial stability: Unless the EU follows the U.K. government in putting in place temporary workarounds, there could be havoc in financial markets when Britain leaves the bloc next March. Firms may find themselves unable to service insurance policies and as much as 96 trillion pounds ($127 trillion) of cleared and uncleared derivatives contracts, the Bank of England governor said at the publication of the twice-yearly Financial Stability Report. And did you see that lovely man Selmayr has put proposals in front of MEP's for the UK to have to apply for Visas to enter the EU: https://www.politico.eu/article/eu-may-require-visas-for-british-travelers-post-brexit/ Ladies and gentlemen the EU is not a democracy: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...es-row-over-top-eu-appointment-martin-selmayr In time it was recognised that being out of the Euro was indeed a good thing. Likewise, I am still convinced that despite the poor handling by May's government, in time, we'll recognise that leaving the EU was to our advantage.
Wow! That Guy Verhofstadt fella really is a cunt. I thought it was all exaggeration. Thanks for alerting me, finm!
yip, they all are aint they? i mean, just why wont they just not get down, and give you plenty? crazy fools.
Lol. You lot. The visa part is fucking obvious, you dont want freedom of movement, welcome to the world of visa travel with limited time stay in European countries. Love the, ''In time ...'' part. Which time though? Ours, our childrens? As broken as it is, we are damaging ourselves just to try and part company with something that is on the point of imploding and being rebuilt. Just sit tight....
Cool. After 2 weeks away, I've had enough. I love unnecessary paperwork and bureaucracy to boot. The more the better. I really enjoyed applying for my French Air Quality Certificate the other day for the Hyperstrada, 20 mins of pure joy. Froggy Air Certificate. I have to renew my passport in 3 months time, so won't get a glorious new blue one though, so it's not all good. I wonder...................
Yep, you need it for going through French frog land. You're OK, you don't need one if your bikes live in the house.
I will have to take my house to Belgium later in the year then and to Matlock tomorrow So non of this nonsense in Belgium then?
