British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. How about a nephew you're not actually related to?

  2. That would mean your either the dodgy wheeler dealer one or, the bloke covered in medals but who never finished basic training

  3. Yeah, I wanted to give the bloke a choice...

  4. It doesn't seem ideal, but just for accuracy

“We have done everything by the book,” Oettinger said, adding Selmayr was “100 percent suitable” and that his German nationality and political allegiance to Europe’s powerbroker Chancellor Angela Merkel were of no consequence.

“We have acted within the letter of the law,” Oettinger said.

  5. For even more accuracy :D Oettinger is one of the commissioners their own ombudsman said are not playing with a straight bat

  6. It would seem logical that he can't have it both ways?

  7. Choppers, dogs and rats?

Sweet baby jesus, I leave the thread for a few days and have seemingly missed some of the most important parts.

Now then, where's my huzzah button.....Oh, yep.....

    HUZZAH

  12. Another Brexit success.:scream:

Even a Brexiteer now saying we are fucked with no deal as there is zero planning been done for it. No shit sherlock.

Two years of Tory shit heads posturing for power leaves the UK up shit creek and some one has nicked the paddle.

  14. He didn't say were fucked at all, he did highlight what happens when you have a remainer in charge, leading a largely remaining civil service.

  15. And with all the assigned committees being remainders.

I don’t get what people are surprised about still. Most who voted leave expected just that: leave. There was no hint of an EU ‘deal’. Simply in or out.

If govt took that stance from day one, EU would have been knocking on our door for a ‘deal’.

  16. surly its a fine example of the people using it's sovereignty tho?

  17. What, like with Indy? If only we had some kind of recent indication of how the electorate feels about these two items.

Liberals, LOL - how can it possibly be democracy if I am not getting what I want?

  18. Mark Carney gives Times interview saying that a disorderly Brexit will sink the pound........markets immediately react and the £ drops

This fellas good isn't he, I mean why would anyone heavily connected with the world of finance and investors have a vested interest in effecting currency?

    Beats me

  19. Liberals - I am a right-thinking kind of person, I only ever listen to other right-thinking people. If someone disagrees with me, there must be something wrong with them but it's OK, I can always shout/push/trample over them and the argument goes away!

    Yay! Go me! I helped!
