British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  9. You could easily re write those Billy Connolly words and insert Farage and UKIP for Wallace and the SNP.

Meanwhile the pound hits a 30 year low against the dollar.

  10. Does the dollar price effect you? It affects my business negatively and I am pleased to have voted out, so what is your issue with the value of the £ Vs the $, or are you just being melodramatic :D

  11. The £ vs $ and € has affected our business massively already.

Just one order we had delivered last week has cost over £5k more than it would have done on 22nd June.

  12. dont be such a loser

  13. Did you consider booking the currency in advance to confirm your costs ? Much of my business is in USD$ and I often book the dollars when I place the order so I know the costs are fixed . Anything else is gambling on rates, you win some , you lose some.

  14. Think I am going to buy some dollars

  15. Normally we do book the currency for large raw material orders but this slipped through the net :/

  16. He also said he disliked patriots, adding: “I’m deeply suspicious of patriotism. People following the band, you know? I don’t want to be part of it. It’s paved with fools.”

he's bang on the money there isnt he, look where patriotism got us last week

blinkered morons who still think the commonwealth and such like are still relevant

  17. Nothing melodramatic for those who will lose their jobs as a result. Nor the fact that money is being taken out of Britain in massive amounts leaving the country very short of liquid cash.

  18. You agree that he's bang on the money about patriotism and Scotland. Good, glad that's sorted.

You could remove "Commonwealth" from that statement and insert "EU" for a far more relevant assessment.
