British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Makes you wonder why they dont talk about the range, other than in the first 10 secs, and then concentrate on ‘worst case’ and use language sounding like it will be fact

  2. These "radio shows" are in a ratings competition, and sensationalism is the way to win. A great reason for the BBC in its present form to be sold, and replaced by boring independant PBS.

  9. Cant be true. Macron is loved by all who sit at his size 3 feet. He is a giant amongst men. And will happily sit at the right hand of the German Empire, sorry EU leadership.

  10. I really hope your poll is right as I think that bloody 2nd referendum is coming and if it has the options; Remain/No agreement/May deal, then the leave vote will be split!

I know a few more Leavers who would go Remain. Just imagine the UK going back with cap in hand after all the damage. Our new deal and future influence would be even worse.

  11. Was a bit tongue in cheek, but I know a few that have said they would vote leave now and a few the other way round. Maybe it evens out and a second vote would be the same. o_O

I do think a second referendum would be an absolute joke. If they did call for one we should try and get rid of the lot of them ( can we do that ?) and start again ?

  12. What could a second ref possibly achieve?

If Remain won the 2nd ref, all you would do is exchange one disgruntled, unaccepting minority for another one. Why bother?

At least by honouring the result of the ref and by honouring the manifestos of both government and opposition, you preserve both the appearance and substance of democracy in the UK. Well, the appearance, anyway.

  13. And surely if remain won it would just be 1-1 ?

  14. Tbf ROI had I think 3 or 4 referendums until they got their answer. I wont be surprised if the UK do the same.

Fu King nonsense. Tyranny it's a tyranny

  15. I mentioned in the other thread there is a way

The decision to leave or stay has already been made so there is no need to have a second referendum on that.

She could seek a clarification referendum on her deal or a no deal brexit vote. This honours the first vote but also fine tunes an upto date direction

  16. Sort of. Except that even an amoeba in a kilt can tell that the EUs deal, as sold by Maybot, is Remain in all but name.

Any second ref will be a ref about Remain or Leave. No thanks. It's up to MPs to act on their manifesto promise - aka we are fucked.

  17. She will have her team looking for another way out, she has few options left and so far nothing new. Other than above, the only two options left are to step down and let fin or duke take over
