British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  1. The U.K.'s position is very clear, there will be NO hard border of old on the U.K. side. In that, they will have complied with the gfa

  5. The only way to achieve that, other than with pie in the sky 'technology', is to have divergence between NI and rest of UK.
    DUP will never accept that

  6. That is not the only way. Some confuse, the eu not considering it as not workable with it not being workable.

Can you explain why you think something as simple as an anpr system such as they have on the dartford crossing that has 150,000 vehicles a day crossing it and being dealt with, would not work on the border?

  7. Some would love it matey. The same that love U.K. to fail and should probably duck off somewhere else if they hate it here so much.

  8. I can’t disagree with that.

But I would think it worrying if can’t leave the EU, wouldn’t other members too

    We’re all ears.

  10. Simple, it will be an EU external border, not a toll collection system.
    Next??

  11. Ok as you cant see the wood, I’ll walk through the forest and point them out... give a million per housefly is what, 40m? Then what’s left, the 310m in this example, give to those WHO WOULD HAVE HAD IT FROM THE EU AS PART OF THE REBATE

  20. The NI issue is specific to GB.

I don’t know whether it’s the case the UK can’t leave. I couldn’t possibly know. The AG’s advice will hopefully tell us.

There may be other aspects of leaving that are equally troublesome.

The AG was put into an impossible position yesterday.
