British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  4. Stolen from Fb, no fake news there then...
Dyson moved production to Malaysia with an EU grant, yeah right..
Hinckley Point being built by EDF is down to the British Government, not the EU.
BMW minis are just that, BMW.
You can’t blame the EU that they are not a British product.
You can’t blame the EU for a Raleigh bicycle made in the far east.
Bombardier is a Canadian company, nothing to do with the EU.
M&S manufacturing moved to Far East with EU funding - yeah right.
Our utilities bring owned by foreign companies is down to Thatchers’ privatisation drive and was dressed up as “inward investment.”
Again, you can’t blame the EU.
Tata is an Indian company, nothing to do with the EU.
Again, the Government has been encouraging foreign ownership of British companies for many years, describing it as inward investment. You cannot blame the EU for UK Government short term failings.
    This list is sensationalist tosh.

  5. In my experience UK standards have usually been more demanding than European standards. It is a trait we have in these islands. It’s why the majority of the worlds most popular sports were codified in the U.K. We just like order.

I expect codification also had a role to play in English becoming the worlds business language.

  9. Hang on a sec are you saying this issue is not EU related.

Once the Lybians or anyone else gets into Europe illegal or otherwise they have free movement.

What that means is you are giving control of lets say Germany's borders to Hungray, Greece, Itlay none of which are equipped to cope and by the way they know that immigrants / refugees are passing thru to Grmany, France, Uk so motivation to be diligent is a bit low.

And that is EU related some one else controlling your borders.

  20. Britain’s outside Schengen and there’s the Letouqet agreement with the French that means the problem is faced on French territory.

    Temporary closures for Europe.
