British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Pure theatre. Parliament and the Tories show their truest colours. No legitimate UK Government. Could be fun.

    .

Wait. What? "Free"? How can it be free, someone has to pay for it. WTF?

  2. Watching TM is now excruciatingly embarrassing.

She's no chance of getting the existing deal approved in parliament and she's also no (visible) chance of her getting concessions from the EU. Is that a Mexican stand off.

I see John Major is fully in tune with the grass rootes by demanding A50 withdrawal.

  3. Yeah, where do we go from here?
Almost two weeks after starting this thread, we’re no further forward with Brexit.
I can’t see Parliament’s numerical deadlock changing that much.

So it seems we’re headed for March 29 with no firm plan.

I just hope this does not get delayed any more.
One way or another this needs to be resolved.

  5. Another referendum is the ONLY way it can be resolved. A referendum with three options - May's deal, No Deal or Remain.

  6. I don't even think Mays deal should be on it, it's just shit. There should just be two choices, leave under wto with the view to enter fresh trade discussions with the eu within a 12 months period, or stay exactly how we've been previously.

    There's no need for a 3rd choice.

If anyone signs up to Mays deal then they need their head examined, unless it's changed so that the UK can exit the backstop arrangement without the consent of the EU.

If we sign up to the deal as it is then we've absolutely no chance of ever leaving the limbo state it puts us in

  8. JRM and the ERG bumpkins appear to be as good at politics as they are at having a BREXIT plan.

    All wind and piss.

  11. You think it is, others might not. If its shit then it would get no votes.

Article 50 will almost certainly have to be withdrawn or postponed.

  14. The remain vote has already been had so no
May I suspect is going to run the clock down til March forcing her deal through
Wto/free trade deal is the only deal that fits the vote, if you care to remember what the vote was, leave or stay

  16. All this brexit crap is getting out of hand.
Me and mrs stallion are going back to Australia next summer permanently.
England’s been good to me and I’ve made a lot of money and friends. Always been treated fairly by the indigenous people but I can see it turning in to one miserable piss pot full of people moaning constantly when they don’t get their own way.
Unfortunately England has to be the only country in the world when moaning people get what they want as the rest of the world would not stand for it.
It’s gone mad and wether you like
It or not the big businesses and old boys club will always win.
Fox hunting ban just shows you how it works out when people tackle the elite and rock their world.
The British people’s decision to leave the eu will more than likely be their last hararr as I don’t think the establishment will ever allow you to rock their world of greed and oppression again.
Just the thoughts of an outsider looking
    In.
RIP England you have been robbed of everything
