  1. Well in that case I'd quite fancy that carbon front wheel fender extender you've got. Can I claim first dibs? - The early bird etc...! (or in this case, the early vulture swoops).

  2. Almost inappropriate haste me thinks. Can't fault you though.

  4. Apparently the fault with the ABS on the bike I have a deposit on is to do with an earthing problem on the wiring loom causing the warning light to flicker on which was the subject of a recall. Anyone cast any light??

  5. no pun intended.

  6. They'll probably replace the clocks.

  7. I hope so. I was a bit worried about the display going belly up just out of warranty.
    Cheers.

  8. How did the test on the Exploder go?

I'll be down your way on mine to catch the ferry to Santander June 8th. May see you out and about on your shiny white Exploder.

  9. Had the test ride today. Fan-bloody-tastic.

The fiancee loved the pillion position and the engine is so smooth compared to the Multistrada I was actually shocked. The Multi seems to say "go on, change gear and open the throttle and I will show you how fast we can go". The TEX just looked at me and said " hey matey, have a glance at the speedo and be surprised". I just didnt realise the speed I was doing.

Effortless and very substansial. The switches and general feel of the bike is far better quality than the DUC.
Had the normal screen on at half way and we could hear each other at 90mph on the Sena. Impossible after 70mph on the Duc. I had no buffeting at all (5'10") or maybe its just not noticable compared to the Duc.

I have got a deal I cant refuse on the Tex so have ordered a black one. The white was a bit too "unbroken" and the black has the speckling in it. Looks great.

It didnt give me the naughty boy feel of the Duc and it wont turn heads like it but it certainly exceeds what the fiancee and I are looking for.

Check out all my lovely bits for sale in the Sales /wanted section.

    Cheers

  10. It's the only bike out there that could tempt me off the Duke to be honest Brian.
The cost of changing now is the one thing that would put me off. That and the fact that the local dealer is a tosser who I wouldn't trust to service a lump of coal and the second nearest dealer to me is on par with them.
Which causes a problem to say the least!

  11. Very useful and comprehensive list. I'm taking it with me! Thanks v much.
