Buying A Helmet From Europe

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by shakeys dad, Oct 7, 2023.

  1. Excellent :upyeah: I’m a big shark fan ,always worn them track and road, might treat myself with that kind of discount!

  2. Not had a shark since a foggy rep about 25 years ago, but it feels great

  3. Nice work Shakeys Dad!

  4. It comes down to the materials used. The foams and resins (in a fibreglass or carbon shell) degrade over time. Kept away from UV it takes longer but it still happens. I would imagine the times quoted are well under the real amount of time it would take as they would errr on the side of caution.

  5. So I've decided it's too small, so if anyone is interested in a zarco rep ,absolutely brand new with dark visor and carry bag ,and box, give me a shout ,just after my money back £537. Size medium

  6. I think buying a helmet anywhere without seeing/trying is a bit of a lottery. I bought a Roof in June 2023 after trying several diferent sizes and brands. Didn't think to check the shelf life until I washed the innards. Got a bit of a shock/surprise as all the internals are between four and three years older than the date of purchase... :bucktooth:

  7. You can’t ignore Chomeburner at the moment with their sale, just bought a pair of Daytona AC Dry GTX for £176:00. Motolegends have them for £359:99. Think Sportsbikeshop have 10% off. I’d much rather buy from one of these retailers but you can’t ignore 50% reduction.

Just check your sizing before buying and the dreaded VAT from the NL although I haven’t paid any on these boots. TBH at that price if they didn’t fit I’d stick them on eBay and probably make a profit.
