It's really not that bad , the bike sit's nicely at 30-35 mph in second & you can pin it when you need to.
It's the same engine as the Multistrada, which can be ridden at town speeds in a higher gear. In the 21st century a manufacturer of road going motorcycles should be able to do much better.
Yep same motor , but I think 1198 sports bike has the motor as daivel but they do not feel the same in any gear you would like to use . The daivel is Easy in town but the 1198 is pants .again the 848 streetfighter. Is easer in town than the 848 sports bike ! Same motor different characteristic's. Honda do a lovely little bike you can ride around town on all day in any gear, it has half a Jazz car motor in it
Most bikes are no problem around town, so there is no need to buy a NC700. It's the 21st century and you would think that Ducati should be able to set the bike up so at least one of the three engine modes makes the bike rideable for those occasions you have to ride in urban areas.
