Buying Tyres On Line ?

Discussion in 'Tyres' started by ymfb, Apr 10, 2015.

  1. i guess thats why it's minimum wage an marked wheels. i am £20 a car tyre i would probably charge the same for a bike if the wheel is already off.

  2. I've never had a wheel scratched though.

  3. I may be able to get them done cheaper at a budget tyre & battery centre but I don't fancy taking carbon wheels there. That's why I use a trusted independent bike mechanic. Ring any of those and they'll tell you £10+ VAT.
Though as I said earlier the reason I'd like to change my own isn't so much the price, its the convenience of being able to change tyres around when I like.

  4. i usually do my own. it's a major stress. i put the fugly in for a tyre a wee while back. they fitted the wrong one.. cant fall out with them tho, seeing as they are the only mot station for 60mls. might open my own 9k for a bike station.

  5. I used to change my own. Believe me, it ain't as much fun as it looks...

  6. Mind you if a workshop wrecks a carbon wheel he can replace it on his insurance. If I wreck one at home I'm fecked... :Sour:

  7. A mouse!
