Cal comes clean on Ducati..... And he's not scared of it , good lad

  1. Maybe Cal has said all this Ducati stuff to try and push Yamaha into making a decision. I have a feeling it will be Dovi that ends up at Ducati to end his career

  2. Could be, those are bold words from Cal, myself I hope he gets Spies ride, he deserves it and this would be a perfect natural progression for him with his best chances of being a world champion or consistent podium winner in this class, I don't think this would be the case if he went to Ducati unfortunately.

  3. Remind me, Why does one seat have to be a yank seat?

I'm not doubting your wisdom, but Why and where in any rules apart from sponsorship money does it say that?

Yamaha Americ'sa input has always been a margin, we can live without them.

  4. BTW: Its going to be a right mix next year, and Bradley should not have been considered until at least now ... but he's got a guaranteed MOTO GP ride for next year, and some wanted him riding in the Moto GP Class this year.

All this pressure is going to ruin his chances when he gets here ... I think he's feeling it already by being second best in his class.

If it was pushing British Talent, we have more mature talent with Cal, he deserves the notice at this point in his career, Not Bradley ... Its Cals time, not Bradleys.

  5. That comes across like the ramblings of a petulent child. So I've quoted it before you can change it:wink:

Has it ever occurred to you that it might be rather nice to have two brits in motogp rather than one..?

  6. ...Or three, even. Was forgetting about Ellison:redface:

  7. Dont worry mate, I'll not make any changes and I stand by my opinion :)

Did it ever occur to you that you come across as a total authoritarian Victorian sort of guy? where only British can be best? and one can only support British?

Thats How idiotic you are coming across.

If I'm a petulant child you are Victorian Dad ... at least I have years and years of actual racing motorcycles experience and the way it happens to back up my opinion.

No, I took every consideration about Bradley into thought before committing my text to the internet

I still stand by my thoughts, Cal is the next deserving one, Bradley ... nice little guy is far from ready ... even he admits it.

This is not about part of the Queens ra ra Jubilee where we pretend everything British is best, its where we realise what is best and build on it and be more bloody realistic about it.

Now get off my back, please.

BTW ... three would be even better than two, but we have what we have.

  9. I'm less bothered about the number of Brits in MotoGP than the amount of them who look as if they could seriously win the title. Remind me - we haven't had one of those since 1977 and Barry Sheene, have we? Yes, yes, we've won a lot in WSBK - which is great - but when was the last time a Brit won a 125, 250, 500, Moto2 or MotoGP title, or even challenged seriously for one?
35 years is quite a long time.

  10. And that might be the reason Cal chose 35 for his number.

  11. Hit a nerve, did I..?

  12. It's nothing to do with rules and more to do with $$$$$$$$$$$$$'s
Like i said a yank will be on a yamaha!

Ducati USA sales have gone manic so my guess is Nicky's seat is safe at ducati!

  13. Yes, are you proud for admitting to public trolling?

  14. Yep. While I'm trolling, why do 'ex-racers' always think they know more than anyone else when it comes to motogp?

  15. Remember too the $ is weak, but I'd not be so concerned at the world hinging around the USA in this sport so much any more, if they don't have a top rider they don't have a top rider ... its happened before.
But yeah I think Nicky is good for one more year at Ducati ... at least.

  16. There are two............... Crutchlow and Ellison

  17. Oh dear, now whose nerve has been hit?

  18. Not prepared to answer, eh?

  19. Of course :) Make that four then :)
