Thanks for the reassurance...I've a receipt with the service items listed including two belts (73710091B - Cinghiavz=95b-GD161Conf) and an eye watering tota - 25% of bikes valuel!!! I'll try and ring the dealer to see if they'll tell me the date they were changed but data protection may prevent that.... Well, it is a project with lots of learning required. All the advice is really appreciated
Good news - dealer confirmed belts were changed May this year and the bike is mechanically very good but cosmetically challenged!
Bit of a divergence but yes the A12 and the SR 71 were made using a lot of titanium. The planes were initially used to spy on the Russians but the US has very little titanium resources within its territories so where did it get the titanium from? Why, Russia of course, using plenty of subterfuge and scullduggery. Back to the subject in hand. I replaced my calliper pinch bolts with A4-80 from Accu. To replicate what you have on the machine you will need the low profile cap head bolts but Accu only do the regular A4 in this cap profile, and from memory they torque to 35 Nm. Also interesting to note that the low profile cap head and the button head bolts have a smaller hex (by 1mm) than the regular cap head bolts. The regular cap profile bolts don’t look too out of place.
