I'm not really sure that him being on that bike is anything other than gathering more feesback about this years bikes etc. If he turns up to the next test wearing factory leathers then I think it's safe to say Cal will be on a Suzuki next year.

I wouldnt touch any ducati ride with a bargepole. In WSB, BSB, MotoGP. None of their bikes are remotely competative. The Kwaks and Prillies are miles ahead in superbikes and even cheating the rules in MotoGP leaves them as no hopers. Dovi's 2nd was an abherration. Albeit a well ridden one.
