Hi Mike , I did mine last week with belts supplied by Exige it was my first time and it was a piece of piss just watch the online video.
Hi Mike and welcome, I too have just replaced my belts for my 749 which were supplied by Exige. (Abiet the second set after my son damaged the first set and more :Rage. Excellent price and fast service. Never done belts before, but I did go well beyond this and completely strip the bike and engine. Again never done this before. Scared the hell out of me, but wanted to try and see if i was skilled enough to do it. Key to this for me was taking my time, researching, advice from here and double checking everything. I have learn't so much about my bike by doing this. I found little things that I would never of checked. A long process, but well worth the work. Most of all it has given me confidence in doing the work myself. Which saves a small fortune. I started and ran the bike fully for the first time last night, and was jumping around my drive with the largest grin on my face when it started first time and ran like a dream. Now just need to put a new MOT on it and i'm done. It has taken just over 4 months, but this was mainly due to funds. So something that scared me to attempt has actually be a full filling project. The wife is now very concerned as I would love to find and restore another Ducati.
Take lots of pics as your undoing Draw round everything and where it all goes Get boxes for each area and put the bits and bolts in each And don't forget the guys on here will help you Take your time and don't panic Use masking tape around bolts stating where they came from
Blimey, Viv, he's only changing the belts, not dismantling the whole thing. It's only the right fairing plus two belt covers to come off... :/
