Blimey, more top spotting. It is in fact a Honda NS750, which the blurb notes was specially developed for AMA dirt track racing. It used a modified OHV 4-valve engine from the CX500. Honda chopped off the shaft, turned the engine 90 degrees, added a chain drive, bored the cylinders out as far as the castings would allow, installed a spacer to allow a longer stroke. Then, when that puts the carburetors right in the way of the riders right leg, swapped cylinder heads to splay the carbs wide enough to create a little knee room. Apparently not all than successful as a racer, perhaps they should have hired a dispatch rider....
