  2. I might be tight for time, but I'll have a think.

  3. Afternoon peeps ,i've had prostate cancer for about two and a half years now which has developed into the bones and spine.
What i would like to know is how much mst people are taking, as this week has become extreemely uncomfortable.
My dosage has gone up gradually over the years and the doc's seem hesitant to increase the dose, they always do but.... untill recently i have been quite active but at the moment i'm having difficulty standing up, walking, generally moving about. i have taken extra mst and oramorph but would like to know if i'm taking a lot or a small amount. if you can mssge me or post it would give me a guide . Thanks for your help cheers arle.

  4. Really sorry to hear of your troubles, Arle

    Keep your chin up mate.

  6. Thanks for sharing this with us @arlechino. Sorry to hear about your worsening problems. Also sorry I don't know the answer to your questions, so I can only offer my best wishes.

  7. What i wanted was a guide to how much mst people were taking, i realise this is very individual ,but would find it helpfull .
    thanks

  8. You would be more likely to get a meaningful response if you gave some clue as to what you mean by "mst".

  9. MST continus, prolonged release morphine sulfate.

  10. MST = Morphine Sulphate Tablets
Very sorry Arle that I cannot offer any advice but wish you all the best in controlling your pain and getting some quality of life back.

  11. For some reason, this thread had entirely passed me by.
All my best wishes, Pete, for a speedy recovery. Great poem by the way.
Also my best wishes to all other cancer sufferers on here. Stay as positive as possible - probably a very useful adjunct to whatever treatment you are taking.

  12. Have you ever used the website Quora - The best answer to any question

If not, I'd suggest trying there for some expert opinion. Quora is a website where you can ask questions and receive expert answers. I did a quick search on mst, and there are many questions and answers: it would be worth spending some time scanning these, as it will likely lead to some avenues to explore. You can also ask experts follow up questions.

    Best of luck.

  15. Congratulations, that's a great feeling. And the partners often have a tougher psychological time than the patient, as they can only watch, support and hope... so must be a huge relief for you too.

    Quite an xmas present!

  20. Brave of you to post Arle, I will be thinking of you. I hope you can link up with others who are experiencing the same as you as, although virtually nothing compared to what you are going through, I found from a back-pain point of view it was of some comfort mentally to do this.

The site below although not specifically for Cancer has been a great help to me dealing with chronic pain, and is not intrusive when it comes to communication.
