Cleaning cars? Lol. I wish I was, be less stress. I ain't the one posting about buying a sub 10k cheap car thinking its a big deal.
No, they have stood out in the eyes of a poor salesman who is not skilled in objection handling and closing....No salesman worth his salt ever 'doesn't bother'
Theres a difference in opjection handling and someone who is too much trouble. If you had any time in the motor trade selling cars you wouldn't need telling that sometimes you get a customer that whatever you do is never good enough and will take up your time when you could be dealing other nice customers.
Every car dealer I have the misfortune to have contact with has been a tw*t and a crook...........Wouldn't matter if I was wearing a good suit or jeans, T-shirt and boots........all 'kin tossers as far as I am concerned. The next car I get will be a proper leased car......so the leasing company can do the bl**dy haggling. My stepson has just leased a brand new Merc SLK 2.5 diesel drophead.......a bit over £250/month....10,000 miles per year, taxed first year (even though the tax on it is less than my 2.0 litre coupe).....first service 20,000 miles...two year contract...hand it back after two years and just before the first service; then drive away in another new one. Makes sense to me.... AL
Sorry ipad was set on Spanish language and was typing quickly as having my tea and my steak pie was going cold
its not just cars Char its all type of sales ,i for one was not suprised when Comit went under first they would jump on you as soonas you walked though the door the they would totaly ignore you , i always found the best way to get service was to pull out the security plugs from the back of a lap top so the alarm would go off and "Presto " a salesman would appear , is it any wonder i do most of my shopping on line . i have found small car dealers were the best but the bigger ones were so bad , i remember going into a renualt dealers in exeter i told them i wanted a diesel car but was told that they were no good and i should buy a petrol hatchback that had just come in , the only thing was it looked like a dog had died in it and it stunk ,and it was full of dents he said dont worry the dent man will sort them out ! i did not go back
Doesnt matter what a customer is wearing. All salesman want is to be treated and spoke to like a human being. Exactly what customers want. Salesman need customers to earn a Living, and believe it or not we just want to earn a living, and not fall out with people all day. The transaction can be handled in a way that leaves the Customer happy and the dealer. The problems come when people expect to argue , and don't expect the dealer to make a profit. If our customer satisfaction drops below a certain level of "completely satisfied" (92.8% currently ) we get fined huge amounts. So it's in our interests to keep people happy. I've been at 100% for the last 4 years and when you sell above 300 cars a year that's a good result. People sell to people . In the world of the Internet it's even so more important as like you said you can broker a deal cheaper.
I would say the same about them. Broken promises and lies. All resolved once the md had read the email trail and sorted my concerns. Good job the sale was done by email as I was in Spain. Otherwise would of been a nightmare. However nice to know they treat customer information in accordance the data protection act.
so now you admit an issue Dom - last time I asked you said you didn't know what I was on about
no idea ? However I'm happy to post up the emails from myself to Ducati Manchester ? I did , as requested by them kept it off the forums. As once the MD got involved it was sorted within a few days.
I bought my wife and daughter a yellow one which I drive occasionally  must admit it is a great little car ! Drive my Navara pick up when I want to man up
