There’s a quick technology answer to this that is universal, just stop the things working whilst they are in motion - din’t say it would be a popular solution
Was it a helmet cam then? How long did you have to avert you eyes from the traffic ahead, bearing in mind limited peripheral vision in a helmet? Not being arsey, just pointing out that distractions can be from many means. All depends on POV IMHO telling tales on other road users, unless crashing into stuff or pissed as fuck, isn't on. Its a thin edge of a wedge that ends with bikers having case after case in the courts from dash cam footage because of a 6" whi=ite line nip, or an overtake that looks fine on the bike but to the driver dangerous, or parking on double yellows...
Stopping a mobile phone from working when it is ahem mobile? Are you sure? Currently viewing this moving quite fast on a train...
Punishing everyone is never the best answer. Anyone who is caught driving and texting/ hoilding their phone talking should be the one punsished, not people who are passengers on trains, buses, cars, planes. Make the punishement mandatory four weekends in jail if spotted by a police officer. It will stop then. And if it doesn't - increase the jail time.
Driving is bloody boring, morning radio is shit, that shit corporation BBC is to blame, they transmit shit material every morning, everyone switches off and watches youtube or has chat on instashit
Life ban if caught texting... straight off the bat... It's worse than drink driving I think.. Most that do it seem to think it's their right and normal behaviour.. Or at least that's what it appears like to me.. Fucken lunatics...
